After the discovery call, Tom proposed Enterprise at £140k total deal value. Jeremy Platts, the CFO, asked for a recurring versus one-off breakdown and alternatives, and said he is not committing to anything.

Ask: Jeremy wants whole-life cost, a split of recurring and one-off, and a comparison with alternatives. He says this is a question of priorities in a tight year.

Customer view: guarded and cost-focused. Tom promised a breakdown checked against the price book, but the thread shows none sent.

Next: Tom owes the breakdown and a view on alternatives, and wants Caroline's input on the insurer-relations team's time.

Hi Caroline, hi Jeremy, Thanks for your time on the discovery call. Really useful to hear how the insurer-relations and patient-services teams work today, and how much effort goes into pulling together one view per insurer. As a quick recap: we talked about Enterprise as the likely fit, given the number of teams involved and the information governance requirements. I have put a figure of £140,000 against the opportunity for now. That is the total deal value, including the one-off implementation, not an annual price, and I will confirm the exact breakdown in writing before anything goes further. No drama on timing. I have pencilled in May as a sensible point to decide, but that is only a placeholder. The next step I would suggest is a demo on your own data, so you can see what it would look like for a real insurer query. Let me know if that works and I will get something in the diary. Best, Tom

Tom, Thank you for the note. Before we go further I would like to understand the whole-life cost, not only the headline figure. Please set out what is recurring and what is one-off, and what the likely alternatives would cost us. I will not be able to consider anything without a comparison. Jeremy Platts

Hi Jeremy, Fair question, and thanks for coming back so quickly. Leave that with me. I will put together a breakdown showing the one-off implementation and the annual subscription separately, and I will confirm every number against our price book rather than quote from memory. On alternatives, I can describe the sort of options organisations in your position usually weigh up, including doing it in house, but you will know better than I do what is realistic for your teams. Caroline, it would help to have your view on what the insurer-relations team would otherwise spend its time on. Cheers, Tom

Tom, Understood. Please send the breakdown when it is ready. To be clear, this is a question of priorities in a tight year, and I am asking what else we could do with that money. I am not committing to anything at this stage. Jeremy Platts
