What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Kickoff for the Starter subscription at £22k with fifteen users. Four connectors planned, claims undated, and single sign-on confirmed as an Enterprise feature, which the customer's IT manager said security will review.
What happened: Elena Novak confirmed the annual subscription at £22k with fifteen licensed users on Starter. Laura Penhaligon set the connector order: renewals system, claims system, shared document store, mailbox.
Customer view: Ilse Kuipers wants the renewals system first and distrusts the old, slow claims system. Joost Molenaar will not approve a connector until he has read the access model.
Commercial: Single sign-on and SCIM were recorded as Enterprise features, not on Starter. Joost accepted password and multi-factor for now but said security will review it in the first month, which is a possible Enterprise upgrade conversation.
Watch: no date was given for the claims connector until a sample is tested. The 07:00 refresh window matters because finance look at figures by eight.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Ilse Kuipers to send the fifteen-user team list to Laura Penhaligon and Joost Molenaar by the end of the week.
- Joost Molenaar to return the access form, and Laura Penhaligon to confirm the read-only service account in writing.
- Elena Novak to send the written actions and the data location statement after the call.

- The IT manager will not approve any connector before reading the access model, which could delay the first load.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Single sign-on is missing on Starter and the security team will review password and multi-factor sign-in in the first month, which may open an Enterprise conversation.
Transcript
- Elena NovakGood morning, everyone. Thank you for joining. As I emailed beforehand, today's agenda has four parts: the connector plan, owners for each source, access and security, and the first two weeks.
- Ilse KuipersGood morning Elena. That agenda is clear, thank you. I have the email open.
- Laura PenhaligonMorning all. Laura Penhaligon, I am the implementation consultant, so I will walk through the connector plan. Can everyone hear me okay?
- Joost MolenaarYes, I can hear you. Joost Molenaar, IT manager. Sorry I am a few minutes late, the previous meeting ran over.
- Elena NovakNo problem, Joost. We are just starting. To confirm, the annual subscription is £22,000, with fifteen licensed users on the Starter tier.
- Laura PenhaligonThat is right. So the plan today is four connectors. I want to start with the renewals system, because that is where most of the daily questions come from, then the claims system, then the shared document store, then the mailbox.
- Ilse KuipersThe renewals system first is right. Our renewal team asks about it every morning. Who will own that connector on our side?
- Elena NovakAs agreed in our scoping call, Ilse will own sign-off for the business content of each connector. Joost will own access. I will make sure that each owner has the written list before the end of the day.
- Joost MolenaarFine by me. I want the access model before anything connects, though. I am not going to approve a connector I have not read.
- Laura PenhaligonCompletely reasonable, Joost. I have the access model in the pack. It is read-only for every source, and each connector runs inside your Snowflake account, so the data never leaves your environment.
- Joost MolenaarRight. And what about single sign-on? Our security team will ask. We use it for everything else.
- Elena NovakTo confirm, single sign-on and SCIM are not included on Starter. They are features of the Enterprise tier. I would like that recorded as agreed, so there is no surprise later.
- Joost MolenaarUnderstood. Then users will sign in with a password and multi-factor for now. Please note that our security team will want to review that in the first month.
- Laura PenhaligonNoted, and I will add it to the action list. We can set up the access groups now, and the connectors will follow in the order we agreed.
- Ilse KuipersCan I ask about the claims system? It is the one that worries me. It is old and slow, and people do not trust it.
- Laura PenhaligonThat is a good concern. I have looked at the claims system's export. It is workable, but we will need to map a few fields by hand. I would rather test that on a sample than promise a timeline.
- Elena NovakAgreed. I will not put a date on the claims connector until Laura has tested the sample. That is in the notes.
- Ilse KuipersGood. How long do you expect the first connector to take?
- Laura PenhaligonFor the renewals system, I expect a short run once Joost has approved access. The main work is the mapping, and the nightly refresh should be complete by 07:00 on business days, which is what we promise for every tier.
- Joost MolenaarSeven in the morning is fine for us. Our finance people look at things by eight, so it needs to be there.
- Elena NovakThank you, Joost. I will record that as the refresh window for your team. To confirm, the window is complete by 07:00.
- Laura PenhaligonLet me share my screen for a minute. This is the connector plan, with the owner and the target week for each source. Can you see it?
- Ilse KuipersYes. The owner column is good. I can see my name against the renewals and the claims system.
- Laura PenhaligonYes, and I have left the target weeks blank for the claims system on purpose. I would rather keep it honest than fill it in and move it later.
- Elena NovakThank you, Laura. That is exactly how I would want it. Can we move to the first two weeks?
- Laura PenhaligonYes. Week one is access and the renewals connector. Week two is the first training session for the team leads, and a quick look at the questions people ask. Ilse, who should be in the training?
- Ilse KuipersThe team leads and the analysts who run the renewals reports. Probably around fifteen people, but I will check the names with the team.
- Elena NovakTo confirm, the team will be the licensed group of fifteen users. Ilse will send the list to Laura by the end of the week.
- Joost MolenaarPlease send the list to me too. I need to create the access groups, and I would rather do it once.
- Ilse KuipersYes, I will copy you. Joost, can you tell us what your team needs before access can be approved?
- Joost MolenaarA short form, a sign-off from a director, and the connector's service account. I will send the form after this call. I would like it returned within the week.
- Laura PenhaligonGood. I will make sure the service account is set up as a read-only account, and I will confirm that in writing once it is done.
- Elena NovakAs agreed, Laura will confirm the read-only setup in writing. Joost will return the form. Ilse will send the team list. I will send the written actions after this call.
- Ilse KuipersCan we talk about how we will know if it is working? I do not want to wait until people complain.
- Elena NovakA very good point. We will look at usage weekly during onboarding, and I will check the records indexed for each connector. If one stops loading, we will hear about it from us, not from your team.
- Laura PenhaligonAnd I will check the connector status each morning in the first two weeks. If something breaks, you will see it in the pack before you see it in a question.
- Ilse KuipersThat is reassuring. Thank you both.
- Joost MolenaarBefore we finish, one more thing. Where is the data physically stored? I need to write that in my report.
- Elena NovakInside your own Snowflake account, in the region you have agreed. I will send you the written statement this afternoon, so you have the wording you need.
- Joost MolenaarGood. Send it with the form, and I will not have to ask twice.
- Laura PenhaligonWill do. I think that covers the agenda. Is there anything you would like to add?
- Ilse KuipersNo, I think we are good. Thank you for a clear start.
- Elena NovakThank you all. To confirm, the written actions will come from me today. Kind regards, and speak soon.
- Joost MolenaarThanks, bye.
- Laura PenhaligonBye all, see you at the first training session.
