What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Victoria Spence reported that a landlord name with an apostrophe returned the same property twice. Bethan Lister asked for the exact name to reproduce it, and the ticket was closed on 24 Jun 2024.
Problem: Victoria Spence found that searching a landlord name with an apostrophe returned the same property twice, while the name without the apostrophe returned one result.
Handling: Bethan Lister asked her to try both spellings and to send the exact name. Victoria said the apostrophe seemed to be the trigger every time, and the ticket was solved on 20 Jun 2024, but the record does not show the cause or the fix.
Watch: The customer said the issue was not urgent, but it is a repeatable search defect.

Typing the name without the apostrophe gives one result, so it looks like a search issue rather than the data. Not urgent, but thought you'd want to know. Victoria
- Public reply · Bethan Lister 10 Jun 2024 14:30Hi Victoria, thanks for flagging this, and good to hear the team is getting plenty out of it. Just so I've got this right: a name with an apostrophe returns the same property twice, but without it you get one? Can you try the search with both spellings and tell me what you see? If you send me the exact name you searched, I'll try to reproduce it here. Thanks, Bethan
- Public reply · Victoria Spence 11 Jun 2024 13:17Hi Bethan, yes, that's exactly it. I've tried a few more names and the apostrophe seems to be the trigger every time. I'll send the exact one over shortly. Thanks, Victoria
