The deadline calendar showed one employer's pay date a day early. Bethan Lister reproduced it, and an internal note points to the date rollover in the calendar build.

Problem: The calendar moved a pay date to the Friday before a bank holiday, when the employer's contract says the Thursday, while the source data was correct.

Handling: Bethan reproduced the fault on a test employer, passed it to engineering, and told the customer no fix date had been given yet.

Watch: Euan said two employers have a pay date near a bank holiday in April. The record does not show a fix or a date for one.

Steps: opened the deadline calendar for one of our employers. The pay date shows as the Friday before the bank holiday, but the employer's contract says the Thursday. I've checked the source deadline in the payroll system and it is correct there. As far as I can tell this only affects this one employer. Expected: the pay date matches the contract. Actual: the pay date shows a day early. Browser: latest version of Chrome.

Hi Euan, thanks for the report. Just so I've got this right: the calendar shows a day earlier than the contract, and the source record is correct. Can you tell me which deadline type this is, and whether the employer has changed its pay calendar recently? That will help me reproduce it. Thanks, Bethan

Reproduced on a test employer with the same pay calendar. Calendar shifts a day when the pay date falls just after a bank holiday weekend. Source data is fine. Likely in the date rollover in the calendar build. Looping in Marek to see if the fix belongs in the build or the calendar view. Not giving the customer a fix date yet.

Hi Euan, I've reproduced it on our side, so it's not your setup. The calendar moves the pay date a day early when it falls just after a bank holiday weekend. I've passed it to our engineering team and I'll come back to you when I know more. Thanks, Bethan

Thanks Bethan, that's helpful. We have two employers with a pay date near a bank holiday in April, so it would be good to know before then. Euan
