What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026After the formal renewal notice, Malcolm Hebden asks what the £116k deal amount in BG-Demo's system covers and how it relates to the £56k paid now. Marcus says it is a whole-term total and hands the breakdown to Tom.
Ask: Malcolm queried a figure he had seen, wanting to know whether it covers the whole term or more than the subscription. He added: "I am not able to accept a figure without its base."
Customer view: He has noted the 16 Jan 2026 end date and the 14 Jan 2026 signing target, but will decide nothing until he has the detail. Marcus did not give the make-up himself and asked Tom for a written breakdown.
Next: Tom owes Malcolm the annual subscription, term and contents of the total. A live call is on offer.

- Marcus Bell 17 Oct 2025 08:11Hi Malcolm, This is our formal renewal notice. Your current Growth term ends on 16 Jan 2026, and we'd like to renew it with you for a further term. I've copied Tom, who is looking after the commercial side. For reference, contracted annual recurring revenue today is £55,800 across 80 licensed users. The renewal is open on our side with a target to have the order form signed by 14 Jan 2026, though there's no pressure to rush if the board needs longer. Usage has gone up again this quarter and there have been no tickets in the last month, so it feels like a good moment to talk about it. Tom will send the proposal with the full-term figures and their base, as you asked last time. Shall we book 30 minutes once you've had a look? Thanks, Marcus
- Malcolm Hebden 21 Oct 2025 08:45Dear Marcus, Thank you for the notice. I have noted the end date of 16 Jan 2026 and the date you hope to sign by. Your system shows a deal amount of £116,000 for the renewal. Could you tell me what that figure covers? Is it the total across the whole term, and does it include anything other than the subscription? I would also like to know how it relates to the £55,800 we pay now. I am not able to accept a figure without its base. I will take the matter to the board in due course, but I cannot decide anything until I have the detail. Malcolm Hebden
- Marcus Bell 21 Oct 2025 09:33Hi Malcolm, Fair question. The £116,000 is the total value of the proposed renewal deal across the whole term, not a yearly price, so it shouldn't be read against the £55,800 on its own. I'd rather not break it down myself from memory, because I'd want you to have the exact make-up of each part from the commercial side. Tom, could you send Malcolm a short written breakdown showing the annual subscription, the term and what is in the total, so he has something he can take to the board? Tom will also be able to explain what's changed against the current order form. Malcolm, if it would help to go through it live, just say and I'll set up a call with Tom. Thanks, Marcus
