What was said
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Check-in with Donna Wragg. Usage steady at about four regular users, no tickets in a month, and Terry Hinchcliffe still holding the unsigned Starter order form at £20k. A consultant session is planned.
What happened: Daniel Okafor and Donna spoke one to one. She reported no niggles, the data feels current, and the renewal paperwork is still with Terry, who is taking his time.
Customer view: Donna said Terry will want to see it is not just four people. She expects him to sign if consultants use it after the session, and probably to sign anyway if they do not.
Commercial: The Starter order form is for fifteen users at £20k, with the new term starting 31 Jul 2024. One new consultant needs a login, which fits within the licence and needs nothing to buy.
Watch: The renewal is unsigned and the date is close. Donna asked for a short message, two lines and a number, and no extra features.

- A new driving-side consultant can be added within the existing licence from week one.
Transcript
- Daniel OkaforGood morning, Donna. Can you hear me properly?
- Donna WraggMorning, Daniel. Yep, all fine here. Sorry, I've got a coffee and half a bacon roll, don't judge.
- Daniel OkaforI would never. Thank you for fitting this in. It's only the two of us today, so I thought we'd keep it relaxed. How's the office been?
- Donna WraggBetter, actually. The summer rush has calmed a bit. The consultants complained about the car park this week instead of about systems, so I'm calling that progress.
- Daniel OkaforThat's the best kind of complaint. Just to close the loop on where we are, I had a look at the account this morning. Usage is steady. It's still about four of you in there regularly, a touch up on the last quarter, nothing to worry about.
- Donna WraggYeah, that sounds right. Same faces.
- Daniel OkaforAnd no tickets at all in the last month. Has anything been niggling that you haven't got round to raising?
- Donna WraggNot that I can think of. If it was broken I'd have shouted. Which client is that, I'd say, and who's moved my numbers.
- Daniel OkaforHa. Good. I'll take silence as good news, then, though I do like to ask. When you open it first thing, does it feel current to you? The overnight refresh is meant to be done before the day starts.
- Donna WraggI've never had to think about it, which I suppose is the answer. The resourcing lad looks at it before eight and he'd say if yesterday's placements weren't in.
- Daniel OkaforPerfect. Now, the renewal. I know you and Terry and Lynn talked it through with Nell and me a few weeks ago, and I sent the paperwork over afterwards. Where's it got to, as far as you know?
- Donna WraggTerry's got it. He's thinking. I've nudged him twice. I think he's just doing his usual thing of making us wait.
- Daniel OkaforThat sounds like Terry. The order form is for Starter, the same fifteen users, at £19,500 for the year, and the new term starts on 31 Jul 2024, the day after the current one ends on 30 Jul 2024. So there's time, but not unlimited time.
- Donna WraggSame money as last year, so that helps. What's he asking, mostly? Eleven seats nobody's using. That's his thing.
- Daniel OkaforIt is, and it's a fair point. That's why I suggested the short session for the consultants. If a few more of them used it for their own clients, the seats would be earning their keep. Have you had a chance to look at the rota?
- Donna WraggI have. Next week is quiet for the warehouse team, so that's the best bet. Half an hour at most, or they'll drift off.
- Daniel OkaforTwenty minutes is what I'd planned, so that suits me. I'll show one client from start to finish, roles, placements, invoices, and how long it takes to find the answer. Is there a client you'd like me to use?
- Donna WraggUse one of the big warehouse ones. Everyone knows them, and they ring a lot. Don't tell them it's about the system, just say it's about the client.
- Daniel OkaforI like that. Keep it simple for the consultants. I'll come back to you with a couple of times, and you tell me which one works.
- Donna WraggLovely. Can you send it as a calendar invite? They ignore emails.
- Daniel OkaforCalendar invite it is. And I'll put the question they'll all ask at the top: does it save time. If I can't show that, you shouldn't ask them to come.
- Donna WraggThat's the one. Does it save my lot time. If yes, they'll be fine.
- Daniel OkaforWhile I have you, is there anyone new at the company who ought to have a login? A new starter, someone who's moved teams?
- Donna WraggWe've taken on one new consultant for the driving side. She starts soon. I'd want her on it from week one, really, so she doesn't pick up the bad habits.
- Daniel OkaforEasy. You've plenty of room on the licence, so there's nothing to buy. Just send me her name and work email once it's confirmed and I'll get her set up.
- Donna WraggWill do. I'll forget, so remind me.
- Daniel OkaforI'll drop you a line on Wednesday. Now, a question about Terry, if you don't mind. What would help him say yes? Is it a number, or is it seeing people use it?
- Donna WraggBoth, to be honest. The number's the same, so that's done. But he'll want to see it's not just four of us. If the consultants are in there after your session, he'll sign. If they're not, he'll grumble and probably sign anyway.
- Daniel OkaforThat's useful. I won't promise how he'll decide, because it's his call and I'd never guess. But I'll make sure he has what he needs on the page, short, so he'll actually read it.
- Donna WraggShort. Yes. He doesn't read long emails. Two lines and a number.
- Daniel OkaforTwo lines and a number. Noted. And Lynn is copied on everything, so she can match it against last year's form.
- Donna WraggShe'll love that. She likes a match.
- Daniel OkaforAnything else on your side? Any wish list for the tool, even a small one?
- Donna WraggNot really. I'd say keep doing what it does and don't make it fancier. Every time someone adds a button, I get a complaint.
- Daniel OkaforI'll pass that on, word for word. Right, let me close the loop on actions. I'll send a calendar invite with a couple of times for next week. You'll send me the new consultant's details. I'll chase the order form gently with Terry, with Lynn copied, and I'll come back to you by the end of the week with how that's looking.
- Donna WraggPerfect. And I'll give Terry another poke.
- Daniel OkaforGently, please. I'd hate to be blamed for it.
- Donna WraggNo promises. Ha.
- Daniel OkaforThank you, Donna, as ever. Enjoy the rest of your morning, and the bacon roll.
- Donna WraggTa, Daniel. Speak soon.
