What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Operations Director Donna Wragg says only she and two senior consultants use B-Viz. Daniel Okafor offered a short session for newer consultants. Donna would not discuss money, and the boss will judge on wider use.
What happened: Daniel opened a routine check-in on 5 Jan 2024. Donna raised chat not remembering what consultants typed, and Daniel said he would come back within a week on a workaround.
Customer view: Usage is mostly Donna and two senior consultants, and newer staff have not been shown it properly. Nothing is broken and the nightly refresh has been fine.
Commercial: The Starter term runs to 30 Jul 2024 at £20k, matching what was invoiced. Donna said money goes past her boss, and he will not blink if consultants use it.
Watch: If only Donna uses it, the renewal is harder to defend. The plan is a half-hour session on the consultants' own clients and a follow-up in a few weeks.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Daniel to reply to Donna on a chat memory workaround by the end of the following week.
- Donna to send the consultants' main client names so Daniel can prepare the session.
- Daniel to speak with Donna again in a few weeks to check whether usage has moved.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Use is concentrated in Donna and two senior consultants, so the managing director may see little value at renewal.
- Consultants may return to spreadsheets if chat does not remember their earlier questions.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- A short session on their own clients could spread use across the fifteen Starter seats.
Transcript
- Daniel OkaforHello Donna, can you hear me all right? Thank you for making the time, I know it's the first Friday back and your inbox must be a nightmare.
- Donna WraggHiya Daniel. Yes, loud and clear. Inbox is a disaster, you're right. Half the warehouse clients all want people starting on Monday.
- Daniel OkaforOf course they do. Did you get a proper break over Christmas, or was it all phones?
- Donna WraggFew days off, which was lovely. Mostly I slept. Right, before we start, the consultants have been moaning about the search box. It's only a small thing, but they said it doesn't remember what they typed last time.
- Daniel OkaforAh, okay. Thank you for telling me. Is that in chat or on the pages?
- Donna WraggChat, I think. Hang on. Yes, chat. They ask something about a client, go off and do a call, come back and it's all gone and they have to ask again.
- Daniel OkaforRight, that's useful. I'll take that back to the product team and just to close the loop, I'll come back to you by the end of next week on whether there's a way round it. I don't want to promise a fix I don't own.
- Donna WraggThat's fine. Keep it simple for the consultants, that's all I ask. If it's a faff they'll just go back to spreadsheets.
- Daniel OkaforUnderstood. So, how is the team finding it overall? Because when I looked at the usage this morning, it's a bit quieter than the autumn.
- Donna WraggYeah. Well. It's December, isn't it. Everyone was either on leave or chasing temps for the Christmas peak. Nobody had time to sit and ask clever questions.
- Daniel OkaforThat makes sense. It's just under three people a day on average, which for a team your size isn't a lot, and it has dipped a little against the previous few months. I'm not worried, I'd just like to understand it.
- Donna WraggWhich people is that, though? Because it's mostly me and two of the senior consultants. The newer ones barely touch it.
- Daniel OkaforYes, that matches what I see. You and two others doing most of the asking. And you're licensed for fifteen, so there's plenty of room.
- Donna WraggFifteen. Right. We've never got near that. Does it save my lot time, is what I keep asking myself. For me, yes. For the senior ones, yes. For the new starters, I haven't shown them properly.
- Daniel OkaforWould it help if I did a short session for them? Half an hour, nothing heavy. Showing them how to look up a client's open roles, past placements and what's been invoiced, all in one place.
- Donna WraggOoh, yes. Not too long though. They'll switch off after twenty minutes. Make it about their own clients, not a tour.
- Daniel OkaforTheir own clients, got it. If you can tell me which three or four clients they work with most, I'll have those ready.
- Donna WraggI'll ask them. Mostly the big logistics firms near Doncaster and a couple of engineering ones. I'll send you the names.
- Daniel OkaforLovely. Now, anything else that's been annoying? I see no tickets for a good while, which is either very good news or very quiet.
- Donna WraggHa. Bit of both. Nothing's broken. The nightly refresh has been fine, the numbers are there when they get in. I'd have shouted.
- Daniel OkaforI know you would. That's why I like working with you.
- Donna WraggFlattery. Go on, what else have you got?
- Daniel OkaforJust a little housekeeping. You've been with us since 31 Jul 2023, and the current term runs to 30 Jul 2024. It's the Starter plan at £19,500 a year, and that's what's been invoiced too, so everything lines up on our side. Nothing needed from you now, I only want you to know the date is on my radar.
- Donna WraggRight. July. Okay. I'm not deciding anything about money today, you know that. That goes past the boss anyway.
- Daniel OkaforAbsolutely, and there's no pressure at all. I'd just rather we talk about whether it's earning its place well before July, and the best way is to get more of the team using it.
- Donna WraggFair. If the consultants use it and it saves them time, the boss won't blink. If it's just me, he will.
- Daniel OkaforThat's honest, and it's exactly right. So the plan is the short session for the newer consultants, I look at the chat memory question, and we talk again in a few weeks to see whether the numbers have moved.
- Donna WraggSounds good. I'll send the client names on Monday, if I remember. Remind me if I don't.
- Daniel OkaforI will, gently. Thanks for your time, Donna, and happy new year to you and the team.
- Donna WraggAnd you. Ta, Donna. Sorry, I mean, ta ta. Speak soon.
