What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Kickoff for Kralingse Expeditie's Growth subscription. Sanne wants one view across account management and customs. Wouter wants it in writing that access stays inside their Snowflake account. Thijs must own the fragile shipment and customs exports.
What happened: Elena and Laura met Sanne, Thijs and Wouter to agree success measures, connector ownership and access. All eight Growth connectors are planned, starting with shipments, customs and the CRM.
Customer view: Sanne wants account managers and the customs desk to see the same story, and to warn importers before goods are late. Wouter wants no uncontrolled copies of customer data and a record of who asked what.
Commercial: Sanne has forty licences and wants them used. Wouter asked about single sign-on, which is Enterprise only. He said it is not a blocker for now, so it is a possible upgrade signal.
Watch: Shipment and customs exports come from older systems, with only a nightly file likely. If an export fails, data goes stale unnoticed, and Thijs is the only owner. No dates were fixed for the exports or the finance connector.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Elena to send the written plan, the access note and the onboarding invitation on the day of the call.
- Thijs to speak to the supplier about the nightly export and report back.
- Elena to contact the customer's finance team about the accounting connector.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Older shipment and customs systems offer only a nightly export, and a failed export would leave data stale unnoticed.
- Thijs owns the exports and is the only admin, so the setup depends on one person.
- No dates were agreed for the supplier export or the finance connector, so the timeline is open.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Wouter asked about single sign-on, an Enterprise feature, and may raise it again.
- Sanne wants all forty Growth licences used, so adoption by account managers is the route to value.
Transcript
- Elena NovakGood morning, everyone. Can you hear me properly? I think the recording has started.
- Sanne VerhoevenYes, we hear you. Morning. Thijs is here, Wouter is just joining.
- Wouter SmitsHello, sorry, my camera is being difficult. Give me a second. Okay, I think that works.
- Laura PenhaligonMorning all. Laura here, I'm the implementation consultant. Lovely to finally put faces to names. How has your week been?
- Sanne VerhoevenBusy. The worst one this week is a full container of electronics, stuck at the terminal for days. The importer is not happy. But let's be concrete, that is exactly why we are here.
- Elena NovakUnderstood, Sanne. To confirm the agenda I emailed beforehand. One, introductions and what success looks like for you. Two, the connectors and who owns each one. Three, access and security. Four, the plan for the coming weeks and the written actions. I will make sure that you receive these actions today.
- Sanne VerhoevenGood. Short version from my side. My account managers and the customs desk look at different screens. When an importer calls, nobody sees the same story. We want one view.
- Thijs BrouwerYes. I sit in the customs side and I also look after most of our systems. Today I export things by hand to answer a simple question. Where is the shipment, what is the exception, what did we say to the customer.
- Laura PenhaligonThat's a very typical starting point. So the idea is, we connect those sources, and everything lands in your own Snowflake account. Nothing leaves it. Then people can ask questions in plain language, or open pages per importer.
- Wouter SmitsRight, that is the part I care about. It runs inside our Snowflake account. So who has access to what, exactly?
- Laura PenhaligonGood question, and we'll come to it properly in item three. Short answer, you own the account, we work inside it with the roles you give us. Nothing more.
- Wouter SmitsOkay. I will want that in writing.
- Elena NovakOf course. As agreed with Matteo during the sales process, we will provide a short access note. I will add it to the actions.
- Sanne VerhoevenMatteo is not on today?
- Elena NovakNo, he has handed over to us for the delivery. He remains your account owner for anything commercial. For adoption and day to day, you have me, and Laura for the build.
- Sanne VerhoevenFine. Let's go on.
- Laura PenhaligonSo, success. You signed Growth, forty users, and the order form lists the connectors. Sanne, if we sat here in a few months and it had gone well, what would be different?
- Sanne VerhoevenThree things. One, an account manager can open an importer and see shipments, exceptions, calls and invoices together. Two, customs and my team stop calling each other to ask the same thing. Three, we tell importers about a delay before their goods are late.
- Thijs BrouwerAnd from my side, fewer manual exports. If I never have to build another spreadsheet for a Monday meeting, I'm happy.
- Laura PenhaligonHa, we can aim for that. Mm. Wouter, anything on your side you'd call success?
- Wouter SmitsNothing surprising. No uncontrolled copies of customer data, and I can see who asked what. If that works, I'm fine.
- Elena NovakNoted. I will write these three outcomes from Sanne and the two from Thijs and Wouter into the plan, so that we can check against them at the first review.
- Laura PenhaligonGreat, let me share my screen. Can you see the connector list?
- Thijs BrouwerYes, I see it. It is small text but fine.
- Laura PenhaligonSo we have your shipment tracking system, the customs declarations system, the CRM, the call recorder, the mailbox, the helpdesk, the accounting system, and a shared drive for documents. Eight, which is the limit on Growth, so we are using all of them.
- Sanne VerhoevenAll of them from the start?
- Laura PenhaligonNot all at once. I'd suggest we start with the three that give you the one view fastest: shipments, customs and the CRM. Then calls and mail, then invoices.
- Thijs BrouwerShipments and customs are the difficult ones. They are older systems, and the supplier does not have a nice interface. I can get a nightly export, probably, but not a live feed.
- Laura PenhaligonA nightly export is fine. The refresh runs overnight anyway and is complete before seven in the morning on business days. So your account managers start the day on fresh data.
- Sanne VerhoevenSeven is good. My people start early because of the Asian time zones.
- Thijs BrouwerWhat if the export fails one night?
- Laura PenhaligonThen the records stop growing and the data goes stale, and nobody shouts about it. That is why I'd like you to own that export, Thijs, and we set a simple check on our side so we notice together.
- Thijs BrouwerOkay. I can own it. I will need a couple of weeks to set it up with the supplier.
- Elena NovakTo confirm, Thijs owns the shipment and customs exports. I will write it down as an action for you, without a fixed date yet, and we agree the date after you have spoken to the supplier.
- Sanne VerhoevenThe CRM and the mailbox, that is mine. Well, my team. I can arrange that.
- Laura PenhaligonPerfect. And invoices from the accounting system, who looks after that?
- Sanne VerhoevenFinance. I clean up invoices with them all the time, but I don't own the system. I will ask them.
- Elena NovakI will make sure that I contact your finance team directly, and I will not propose a date for their work until they have confirmed it with me.
- Wouter SmitsCan I go back to access? When the connectors read from these systems, what credentials do they use?
- Laura PenhaligonRead-only service accounts, one per source, created by you. We never ask for a personal login. You can revoke any of them at any time and that connector simply stops.
- Wouter SmitsGood. And inside Snowflake?
- Laura PenhaligonA dedicated database and warehouse, roles that you create. Thijs would be the admin of the brain, and you would be able to see everything we do there.
- Wouter SmitsFine. And user sign-in, do people use single sign-on?
- Elena NovakOn Growth, sign-in is by the standard method. Single sign-on belongs to the Enterprise tier. If this is a requirement for you, Wouter, please tell me, and I will raise it with Matteo.
- Wouter SmitsNot a blocker for now. I just wanted to know. I will think about it.
- Sanne VerhoevenLet me ask the concrete one. When do my account managers start using it? I have forty licences and I want them used.
- Laura PenhaligonRealistically once shipments, customs and the CRM are loaded and checked. Then I'd run a first session with a small group, maybe a handful of your best account managers, before opening it to everyone.
- Sanne VerhoevenGood. I will pick them. People who talk to importers all day.
- Thijs BrouwerOne more thing from me. Customs declarations contain sensitive fields. Can we leave some out?
- Laura PenhaligonYes, you choose the fields at connector level. Send me a list of what to exclude and I'll apply it before the first load.
- Wouter SmitsPlease include me on that list. I want to review it.
- Thijs BrouwerYes, of course.
- Elena NovakLet me summarise the actions as I understand them. One, Elena sends the written plan and the access note today. Two, Thijs speaks to the supplier about the nightly export and reports back. Three, Thijs and Wouter agree the list of fields to exclude, and send it to Laura. Four, Sanne arranges the CRM and mailbox access and chooses the first group of account managers. Five, Elena speaks to your finance team about the accounting connector. Is that complete?
- Sanne VerhoevenYes. And Laura, the next session?
- Laura PenhaligonI suggest an onboarding call in about a week, with you, Sanne, and Thijs, to check the first connectors. Elena will send an invitation.
- Elena NovakAs agreed, I will send it today together with the actions.
- Sanne VerhoevenGood. Thank you both. Let's be concrete and keep moving.
- Wouter SmitsThanks. Speak soon.
- Thijs BrouwerBye, everyone.
- Laura PenhaligonCheers all, bye.
