What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Lisa Dewhirst confirmed Growth is right and the decision date is still Fri 20 Nov 2026. The deal amount is £62k plus VAT, implementation included. IT sign-off and upstairs approval remain open.
What happened: Lewis Kerr took Lisa through the Growth proposal sent the day before: forty users, eight connectors, dashboards builder and quarterly reviews. She named the accounting system, the CRM and the counter system as first connectors.
Customer view: Lisa said Growth is right because they want counters, key accounts and credit together. She asked what happens if people do not use it and said she is not signing off anything until IT have had their say.
Commercial: The deal amount is £62k plus VAT, the total with implementation, not an annual price. Lisa said upstairs are not objecting to the timeline, but nothing is agreed.
Watch: IT questions are still open. A refresh late for the 07:00 counter opening is a concern for her.

Transcript
- Lewis KerrMorning, Lisa. Can you hear me?
- Lisa DewhirstMorning, Lewis. Yes, fine. Sorry, I'm a minute late, I got stopped on the stairs by one of the counter managers.
- Lewis KerrNo problem at all. Anything interesting?
- Lisa DewhirstAlways. An installer rang her to say he'd been quoted two different prices for the same boiler at two counters in the same week. Same installer, same boiler. She wanted to know which one was right. I told her I'd love to say there's a simple answer.
- Lewis KerrAh. Well, that's the sort of thing you'd want in the first few questions. Right, so to confirm what we're here for. You'd like to look at the Growth proposal, and the date you're working to for a decision is still Friday 20 November 2026?
- Lisa DewhirstStill that, yes. I've mentioned it upstairs, and they're not objecting, which is about as good as it gets at this stage.
- Lewis KerrUnderstood. I sent the proposal over yesterday. Have you had a chance to look at it?
- Lisa DewhirstI've skimmed it. I printed it, which I know is old-fashioned. Can you take me through it, though? I'd rather hear it from you.
- Lewis KerrOf course. The proposal is for the Growth tier, which is built for several teams sharing one view. For you that means trade counters, key accounts and credit. It includes the chat and search, the pages, and the dashboards builder that Theo showed you last time. It also includes a quarterly review with us once you're live, so we can look at usage together.
- Lisa DewhirstOkay. And the user numbers? I remember you said forty.
- Lewis KerrForty users and eight connectors are included. The user limit is soft, so if you go a little over, we talk about it rather than switch anyone off. The connector limit is firm. So the question I'd put to you is which systems you want connected first.
- Lisa DewhirstRight. Well, the accounting system, obviously, for credit. The CRM, for the key account people. And whatever holds the orders and quotes. I'd have to check with IT what that's called in their world, I only know it as the counter system.
- Lewis KerrThat's fine. We'd settle that with your IT colleague, and Theo can help. I'd say that's three of the eight, which leaves room.
- Lisa DewhirstGood. Now, the money. I won't be agreeing anything today, but give me the number so I know what I'm taking upstairs.
- Lewis KerrTo put a number on it: the deal amount is £62,000, plus VAT. That's the total for the deal, with the implementation included. It isn't an annual price on its own, and I want to be careful about that, because people sometimes read it that way. The proposal splits it out, and I'll go through the split with you.
- Lisa DewhirstOkay, so it's the lot. Fine. What does the implementation actually involve? That's the bit I'm asked about.
- Lewis KerrIt's a fixed fee, so there's no meter running. We connect your systems inside your own Snowflake account, we set up the pages and the first dashboards with you, and we train the first group of users. There's a plan of weeks in the proposal, with owners on each side. I won't quote the detail from memory, it's in the document.
- Lisa DewhirstI saw that. I liked that it had names on it. Mine's on there a lot, which I'll live with.
- Lewis KerrIt tends to be the champion, I'm afraid. That's usually a good sign, though.
- Lisa DewhirstHa. Maybe. Right. Question. If it goes wrong, if people don't use it, what happens? I'm not being negative, but I'll be asked.
- Lewis KerrFair question. The subscription is annual, so you're committing for a year, and there's the quarterly review. If usage isn't where it should be, we'd see that together and look at why. Usually it's a connector that's stopped loading, or a team nobody's trained. I'd rather find that in month three than at renewal.
- Lisa DewhirstThat's honest. Thanks. What about the availability side? The counters open early. Say seven in the morning.
- Lewis KerrThe nightly refresh is complete by seven in the morning your time on business days, on every tier. Growth has availability at ninety-nine point five per cent, I'll have that written out in the order form wording rather than leave it to my memory. If a morning refresh were late, the counters would be looking at yesterday's picture.
- Lisa DewhirstWhich is what I'd rather avoid. Is that something I should ask for in writing?
- Lewis KerrIt's already in the standard terms, but I'll point to the exact clause so IT and your legal colleagues can see it. If they want something different, we can look at it in the order form.
- Lisa DewhirstGood. Next, the IT review. Theo's note went to my colleague last week. He's got a few questions, nothing alarming. Is Theo free to speak to him?
- Lewis KerrI'll ask Theo today and he'll get in touch directly. He'll answer what he can evidence, and he'll tell you if he needs the platform team to confirm something.
- Lisa DewhirstThat's all I want. I'm not signing off anything until IT have had their say. Not a chance.
- Lewis KerrI wouldn't expect you to. Now, one thing about timing. If the aim is a decision on 20 Nov 2026, it helps to work back. I'd suggest the IT conversation in the next couple of weeks, a view from your upstairs by early November, and then we have time to turn the order form around.
- Lisa DewhirstThat sounds doable. I'll tell them the timeline. Do you need anything from me in the meantime?
- Lewis KerrTwo things, if possible. First, which team leads should be in the first group of users, even roughly. Second, the Monday spreadsheet we talked about. If you can tell me roughly how long your team spends on it each week, that goes straight into the value case.
- Lisa DewhirstI asked, actually. It's most of a morning for one person, sometimes two. I'll get you something better in writing.
- Lewis KerrThat's useful, thank you. That sort of detail is what persuades finance.
- Lisa DewhirstOkay. And does the quote stay the same if we go with a smaller first group?
- Lewis KerrGrowth is priced as a tier, so a smaller first group wouldn't lower it. What it would do is leave headroom to add teams later without a conversation. I wouldn't push you toward more than the usage supports, so if you'd rather talk about a smaller option, I'm happy to put that on the table.
- Lisa DewhirstNo, I think Growth is right, we want counters, key accounts and credit together. That's the whole point. I just wanted to check.
- Lewis KerrGood. Then to recap. I'll send a revised version of the proposal today, with the clause references and the VAT position set out clearly. Theo will contact your IT colleague. You'll come back to me with the first group of users and the time on the Monday spreadsheet, and take the proposal upstairs.
- Lisa DewhirstThat's it. I'll take it to the people who decide and let you know how it lands. Thanks, Lewis.
- Lewis KerrThank you, Lisa. Speak soon.
- Lisa DewhirstBye for now.
