What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Demo for Fewston Heating Supplies on its own data. Lisa and Ryan reacted well to visible sources and dashboards. Overnight refresh limits stop-on-account use. Michael was absent; the £62k working figure and 20 Nov 2026 target stand.
What happened: Hannah Lowe showed an installer account end to end, a chat query with click-through sources, search and a dashboard. Michael Dinsdale was at a supplier meeting, so Lisa Dewhirst will brief him.
Customer view: Ryan Sowden liked the visible sources and the idea of building his own dashboards. Lisa wants a plain flag at the counter, not a balance, and Lewis Kerr will record that as a requirement.
Commercial: Lewis restated £62k in total including implementation, before VAT, and the 20 Nov 2026 decision target. Lisa said it holds if the IT review goes cleanly.
Watch: Overnight refresh means a morning credit limit change is not seen until the next day. Ryan also said Snowflake is not fully set up and a few hundred records may disagree between systems.

Transcript
- Lewis KerrMorning, everyone. Can you all hear me? Hannah, you're on mute, I think.
- Hannah LoweSorry, there we go. Morning. Ryan, good to meet you properly after the emails.
- Ryan SowdenAnd you. Morning, all. Bit of a wet one in Harrogate.
- Lisa DewhirstMorning. Quick counter story: this week a key account manager rang three different people to find out whether an installer was on stop. Three. So I'm keen to see this.
- Lewis KerrThanks, Lisa. So, to confirm what today is: Hannah will show B-Viz on your own data, and the aim is for you to decide whether Growth is the right fit. Michael isn't with us today, I understand.
- Lisa DewhirstNo, he's at a supplier meeting. I'll take it to Michael afterwards, and I'll tell him honestly what I thought.
- Hannah LoweLovely. Before I share anything, what do you most need to know from today? Lisa, Ryan, one each.
- Lisa DewhirstOne installer account, end to end. Credit, sales, counter, all in one place. If I can see that, I'm happy.
- Ryan SowdenMine's more practical. What does it touch, where does the data sit, and what do I have to maintain afterwards? I'd be the one picking up the pieces.
- Hannah LoweGood, I'll cover both. The short answer on where the data sits is: inside your own Snowflake account. The longer answer is that we build and run the layer there, so nothing is copied out to a platform of ours. I'll put that in writing for your IT review as well, with a diagram.
- Ryan SowdenRight. We'd need to sort the Snowflake side on our end, I take it. We haven't got that fully set up.
- Hannah LoweTo be precise, that's part of the implementation. We would agree with you what's needed, and I'd not want to guess the detail until I've seen your set-up. I'll add it to the questions.
- Ryan SowdenFine. Better to say that than gloss over it.
- Hannah LoweSo I'm sharing my screen now. You should see a page. This is built from the extract Ryan sent us last week, so these are your installers, with names changed only where Ryan asked us to.
- Lisa DewhirstOh, that's a real one. That's a proper installer from the North East. I know him.
- Hannah LoweRight, so let's take him end to end. At the top, the account page pulls from your CRM: owner, counter, contacts. Underneath, the finance data from the accounting system: invoices, what's overdue, the payment pattern. And then the helpdesk: any queries he's raised.
- Lisa DewhirstSo if he's overdue, the counter sees that straight away.
- Hannah LoweThe counter sees what you decide they should see. That's a permissions question, and it's a good one to settle early. Some firms show a simple flag, others show the figure.
- Lisa DewhirstA flag. Plain. Nobody at a counter should be reading out someone's balance in front of other installers.
- Lewis KerrThat's worth noting for the proposal, actually. I'll write that down as a requirement rather than an add-on.
- Hannah LoweNow the part people like. I'll type a question in the chat: which of our key accounts have raised a query this month and are also overdue?
- Ryan SowdenThat's going to come back with rubbish, I bet.
- Hannah LoweLet's see. It's thinking. Right, there are a handful. And importantly it shows where each answer came from, so you can click through to the invoice or the ticket. It's not asking you to trust it blindly.
- Ryan SowdenAh, that's useful. That I like. Sources visible. Can I ask about that second one, though? It's matched him to the wrong branch.
- Hannah LoweGood catch. To be precise, that's the CRM holding an old branch against the account, and the accounting system holding the new one. B-Viz is showing the two disagreeing, not hiding it. That's the sort of thing you'd fix at source.
- Lisa DewhirstWhich is exactly the problem I have. Two systems, two answers. At least here I can see it.
- Ryan SowdenWe have a few hundred like that, I'd guess. Maybe more.
- Hannah LoweIt would be worth a clean-up pass, yes. I won't put a number on it until we've looked. Let me show you search next, and then the dashboards, because Growth includes the dashboard builder.
- Hannah LoweSearch first. I'll type the installer's company name. It brings back the account page, the recent emails, and a note from a call. You can follow the whole relationship in one list.
- Lisa DewhirstCan my credit team search too, or only me?
- Lewis KerrUsers are counted by tier, and Growth has room for several teams. I'd rather confirm the exact numbers against your plan in the proposal than quote from memory, but counters, key accounts and credit sit within the idea of Growth.
- Lisa DewhirstOkay. I don't want to find out later that half my people can't log in.
- Lewis KerrUnderstood. I'll make that explicit, and I'll tell you if it doesn't fit rather than stretch it.
- Hannah LoweDashboards, then. Here's one I built this morning: overdue balances by counter, with the number of open installer queries beside it. It took me a short while, and Ryan could build the next one himself.
- Ryan SowdenI could? That's one less thing for me to be asked for. People always want a report by Friday.
- Lisa DewhirstHa. Fewer spreadsheets. I'd pay for that alone.
- Hannah LoweLet me say one thing plainly about limits. B-Viz is only as fresh as the sources behind it. It refreshes overnight, so if somebody changes a credit limit at nine in the morning, the counter would not see it until the next day. That matters for you.
- Lisa DewhirstRight. That's good to know. For stop-on-account, next day isn't great, is it? Ryan?
- Ryan SowdenNot great. Though today they phone credit for that anyway. So it wouldn't replace the phone call for urgent ones, just reduce the rest.
- Hannah LoweThat's a fair way to put it, and I'd rather you went in with that expectation. I'll put it in writing so nobody thinks otherwise later.
- Lisa DewhirstThanks. I like that you've said it. Okay, so what happens next on the IT side?
- Hannah LoweI'll send Ryan a short questionnaire and the architecture diagram. He answers what he can, and anything I'm unsure of, I'll check with our security lead before I reply, rather than guess.
- Ryan SowdenSounds sensible. I'll go through it with a colleague in IT before it goes any further.
- Lewis KerrOn my side, I'll tidy the proposal. The deal is still at the working figure we discussed earlier, £62,000 in total including implementation, before VAT, and I'm still looking at Friday 20 November 2026 for a decision. Lisa, is that still sensible?
- Lisa DewhirstIt is, if the IT review goes cleanly. I'll take it to Michael this week. He'll ask what it costs all in, so that's helpful.
- Lewis KerrI'll send that over today, with the points on permissions and overnight refresh written down.
- Hannah LoweAnd I'll send the diagram and questions to Ryan today as well. Anything else you wanted to see, before we finish?
- Lisa DewhirstJust one thing. Can we do this again with Michael in the room, with a credit person too? Same account, same story.
- Hannah LoweAbsolutely. Lewis will find a slot.
- Lewis KerrI'll put a few dates to you. Thanks everyone, that was really useful.
- Ryan SowdenCheers. Speak soon.
- Lisa DewhirstThanks, all. Bye.
