Tariq Mahmood could not add a policy count next to a claims measure on a dashboard. Bethan Lister's steps added it as a second measure, which worked. The board pack copy still showed the old layout.

Problem: Tariq Mahmood wanted a policy count beside a claims figure for a board pack, but the field greyed out.

Handling: Bethan Lister asked him to add the policy count as a second measure rather than a filter, and he confirmed on 6 Mar 2025 that this worked.

Watch: the board pack copy still showed the old layout, and the evidence does not show whether it refreshed or was re-published.

Hello, I'm trying to build a claims summary by member organisation for the board pack. The dashboard I started last month won't let me add the policy count alongside the claims figure. I've tried adding the field from the sidebar and it just greys out. Is there a way to do this in the dashboards builder, or should I be using a question instead? Many thanks, Tariq

Hi Tariq, I've picked this up. Just so I've got this right, you want the policy count and the claims measure on the same tile? If so, please try these steps and tell me what you see. First, open the tile and choose Edit data. Then add the policy count as a second measure, not as a filter. Finally, save and reload the page. If the field still greys out, send me the exact message on screen and I'll look at it from our side. Thanks, Bethan

Thanks Bethan. Adding it as a second measure worked and the count is on the tile now. The only thing is the board pack copy still shows the old layout. Do I need to re-publish it, or will it update on its own? Tariq
