What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Tariq Mahmood found members duplicated in the claims view and needed board pack figures to be correct. Bethan Lister asked which member number to keep for each duplicate before changing anything.
Problem: Some members showed twice in the claims view, under an old and a new member number. The policy view looked right, and Tariq needed board pack figures to be correct.
Handling: Bethan checked the mapping and asked Tariq which member number to keep for each. She said nothing would change on his side until they agreed which was right.
Watch: The record does not show which member numbers were kept, or whether this shares a cause with the earlier hyphenated surname duplicates.

Each one shows the old member number and the new one, and both point to the same policyholder. The policy view looks right, so the problem seems to be only in claims. I haven't changed any mappings on our side and I don't want to change one without knowing why this has happened. Could you take a look when you get a chance? We need to be sure the figures in the board pack are correct before the next meeting. Thanks, Tariq

Just so I've got this right, the duplicates are showing in the claims view only, and both member numbers point to the same policyholder? I've picked this up and I'm checking the mapping for that load now. Could you tell me which member number you expect to keep for each of them? Nothing will be changed on your side until we've agreed which one is right, and I'll let you know what I find. Thanks, Bethan
