Tariq Mahmood found members appearing twice in MI reports. The claims feed member number carries a prefix inside the value. Mapping change held until the examples were confirmed.

Problem: Some members appear twice in the MI reports because the claims feed member number has a prefix inside the value.

Handling: Bethan Lister held off any mapping change until Tariq sent examples from both feeds. Tariq confirmed the prefix sits inside the value and said he would tell Rebecca Ainsworth before any change.

Watch: The evidence does not show whether the mapping was changed or the duplicates cleared.

Hi, Could someone walk me through the member number mapping between the policy and claims feeds? Both are loading, but I checked last night's load and some members appear twice in the MI reports. I think the claims system is storing the number with a prefix, but I don't want to change anything until I've confirmed it. Which field does B-Viz use as the key? Thanks, Tariq

Hi Tariq, Just so I've got this right: both feeds are loading, and the claims feed carries the member number with a prefix, which is why the same member shows twice. Can you check that for me? - Open the mapping and find the member number field for the claims source. - Check whether the prefix sits inside the value or in its own column. - Send me a couple of example member numbers from each feed, with the prefix left on. I've picked this up. I won't change the mapping until you've confirmed the examples, as it feeds the board reports. Thanks, Bethan

Thanks Bethan, good spot. The prefix is inside the value, not a separate column. I'll share the examples through the portal rather than by email. Before we change anything, I'll let Rebecca know. Can you confirm the approach once she has agreed it? Thanks, Tariq
