What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026After the discovery call, Tom proposed a demo following one business through three views. Lesley agreed, chose example records for now, and will send dates. She is checking whether Keith wishes to attend.
Ask: Tom proposed a demo showing one business as account managers, the enquiries line and the grants team see it.
Customer view: Lesley likes the idea and said it is exactly what account managers have been asking for. She is cautious about sharing data and says the timing should not be read into, as everything goes through the tender.
Next: Lesley to send dates and confirm attendees, including Keith.

Next step, as I see it, is a demo. I'd like to run it on a small sample of your own data, if you're able to share some within whatever your rules allow, so it looks like your world and not a made-up one. If that isn't possible, I can use a tidy set of example records and talk it through. I'd suggest showing one business as an account manager sees it, then the same business as the enquiries line and the grants team see it. That seems to be the heart of your question about what the business owner experiences. Could you let me know a couple of dates that might suit and who you'd like in the room? Happy to work around diaries, no drama. Best, Tom
- Lesley Charlton 30 Mar 2026 17:50Dear Tom, Thank you, and thank you for the notes. They match my recollection of the conversation. I like the idea of following one business through the three views. That is exactly what the account managers have been asking for. On sample data, I need to check what we are permitted to share, so please assume example records for now. I'd rather be cautious than have to explain it later. For attendees, I'm thinking of two account managers, someone from the grants team and a colleague from the enquiries line. I will need to check with Keith whether he wishes to attend. I can't speak for his diary or his budget. I'll come back to you with some dates once I've checked a few calendars. Please do not read anything into the timing. It has to go through the tender in any case. Best wishes, Lesley
- Tom Ashdown 30 Mar 2026 18:40Hi Lesley, That's fine by me. Example records it is, and I'll build the demo around following one business through the three views. Understood on Keith and on the tender. If he does want to join, it would help to know in advance so I can pitch the commercial side sensibly, but only if that's appropriate. If not, I'll stick to the practical side and leave it there. Leave that with me, and send dates over whenever you have them. Best, Tom
