What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026After the 21 Jul 2025 demo, Ciaran Doherty asked about warehouse, least-privilege roles and stale data. Sophie Ling answered on 23 Jul 2025. Joanna Platt needs the written proposal before committing to the 15 Aug 2025 target.
Customer view: Ciaran wants roles as a document and will grant nothing from an email. Joanna said the answers were what she needed before going to the directors.
Ask: She wants the proposal and referral steps covering follow-up ownership, the Snowflake versus B-Viz split and day-one deliverables.
Next: Joanna cannot promise a decision by 15 Aug 2025, but called it not unreasonable.

- Sophie Ling 21 Jul 2025 14:47Hi all, Thank you for your time this afternoon. Anya and I thought it was a good session, and the questions were sharp. What we covered: - B-Viz running on a Snowflake dataset Ciaran chose, with chat and search across it. - How the connectors are set up and how the nightly refresh works. - What Lauren would need to hand over to a client at go-live. What I took away as open: - Ciaran: the role set-up and which warehouse the queries run on. Anya can write this up properly so you can check it. - Lauren: your day-one list. Anya will go through it line by line and mark what is live today and what is not. - Joanna: the breakdown behind the total deal value of £25,500, and the referral process you asked about. Could you each send me anything else you want answered before we talk about a proposal? I would like to keep the target of 15 Aug 2025 realistic, so the sooner the better. Best, Sophie
- Ciaran Doherty 21 Jul 2025 16:59Sophie, Three things. 1. Which warehouse is that running on? During the demo the queries seemed to use the one we set up for testing. I need to know what B-Viz would use in a client account, and who pays for the compute. 2. I checked the role grants after the session. I want the roles B-Viz needs written down as a list, least privilege, with nothing on the production schemas. That's a schema question as much as a roles one. Send it as a document. I won't grant anything from an email. 3. Refresh. What happens if a source table doesn't load overnight? Do users see stale data or an error? Also no changes to any client production account on a Friday. Worth knowing when we plan go-lives. Ciaran
- Sophie Ling 23 Jul 2025 11:40Hi all, Thanks for the quick replies. Anya has checked these with our team, and here are the answers. Ciaran: - Warehouse: B-Viz runs inside the customer's own Snowflake account, so the compute is the customer's and you choose which warehouse it uses. The one in the demo was only a test choice. Anya will send a short note on sizing. - Roles: Anya is writing the list of roles and grants as a document, least privilege and read-only on the source schemas, for you to review. Nothing will be granted until you have approved it on your side. - Refresh: the nightly refresh should complete by 07:00 local time on business days. If a source doesn't load, the data is stale rather than missing, and we would see it in the records indexed. Anya will explain how to spot it. - Fridays: noted, and we will plan around it. Lauren: Anya's marked-up version of your day-one list is attached to her note, with what is live today and what is not. Joanna: the figure of £25,500 is the total deal value for Starter. I will send a written proposal that sets out what it covers, along with a draft of the referral steps, for you to mark up. We still have the target of 15 Aug 2025. Does that look workable from your side? Best, Sophie
- Joanna Platt 23 Jul 2025 13:50Hi Sophie, Thanks, that's clear and it's what I needed before going to the directors. Where we are: - Ciaran reviews the roles document when Anya sends it. Nothing is granted until he says so. - Lauren checks the day-one list with Anya and tells me if anything is a gap. - I take the proposal and the referral steps to our directors once I have them. I can't promise a decision by 15 Aug 2025 until I've seen the written proposal, but it isn't unreasonable. On the referral steps, please include these, so we can write them down: - who introduces a client, and who owns the follow-up - who is responsible for the Snowflake set-up and who for B-Viz - what the client gets on day one If anything changes on your side, tell me before it reaches the client, not after. Thanks, Joanna
