What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026After a call with Fewston, Chief Executive Richard Lazenby offered a referral and said he will speak only to what Strensall has seen. Lewis Kerr says the proposal call is booked and keeps terms away from Richard.
Customer view: Richard told Fewston what his team found with trade account data in one place, and says Fewston wants to see it on their own data. He limits his role to first-hand experience and leaves terms and paperwork to BG-Demo.
Next: Lewis confirmed the proposal call is booked and that Fewston's target close is towards the end of November. He will report back and ask before involving Richard again.

- Richard Lazenby 29 Sep 2026 16:35Lewis, Just a quick note after the call with the Fewston lot this afternoon. I told them plainly what my lads found when we got everything about a trade account in one place: the branch, the credit team and the key-account people all looking at the same orders, deliveries and calls. Good merchants know their customers, and that is really all I said. I'll put you in touch with their people directly if it helps, but I would rather you took it from here. I can speak to what we have seen at Strensall, and I'm not going to vouch for anything beyond that. Anything to do with terms or paperwork is for Fiona and you to sort out with them, not me. They seemed keen to see it on their own data rather than a slide deck. Do you have what you need from me? Richard
- Lewis Kerr 29 Sep 2026 17:26Richard, Thank you, that is very much appreciated, and thanks for moving so quickly on it. To put you in the picture: the proposal call with Fewston is booked for next Tuesday, and their target close is towards the end of November. I'll keep to that timetable and won't lean on you for anything beyond what you have already offered. I'll send that over today to their team, with a short note explaining how we got introduced, so nobody is surprised. You are right to keep it to what you have seen first-hand. I will do the same and let the demo on their own data make the case. I won't discuss your terms or anyone else's with them, and the contract side will stay with me and Fiona if it ever comes up. I'll let you know how the call goes. If it would be useful for them to hear from you again after that, I'll ask first rather than assume. Kind regards, Lewis
