What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Michael Dinsdale of Fewston Heating Supplies, a smaller business, is not sure B-Viz is right for them and wants the all-in cost first. Lewis Kerr promised a written quote and a Monday morning call.
Ask: Michael Dinsdale wants the full cost, including any set-up charge and what happens after the first year. He cites Strensall's chief executive saying it works for them, but says Fewston is smaller.
Customer view: He is unconvinced and will consult colleagues, and he asked that a call not be read as a decision.
Next: Lewis Kerr will send a written quote covering set-up, subscription and VAT, and a calendar invitation for Monday morning. The thread does not show the call or its outcome.

- Lewis Kerr 8 Sep 2026 08:38Dear Michael, Thank you for your time on the call. As promised, I am writing to find a slot for a proper follow-up, so that we can go through what you saw and what it would mean for Fewston Heating Supplies. Could you do a call later this week or early next week? I would suggest forty minutes or so, and it would be useful if anyone else at Fewston who will have a view on this could join. I will bring the questions you raised so that we do not skip over any of them. If it helps, I can also put together a short note on how a smaller business would set this up, with the VAT position stated clearly on any price, so that you have it in front of you before we speak. Kind regards, Lewis
- Michael Dinsdale 8 Sep 2026 09:23Lewis, Thanks for the note. I will be straight with you: I am still not sure this is right for us. Strensall's chief executive says it works for them, and I take that seriously, but we are not Strensall, we are smaller, and I do not want to pay for a great deal more than we would use. What will it cost us all in? That is the question I would want answered before anything else, including any set-up charge, and what happens after the first year. I am out for much of this week. Thursday afternoon is possible, otherwise Monday morning. I would also want to run it past my colleagues before saying anything either way, so please do not read a call as a decision. Michael Dinsdale
- Lewis Kerr 9 Sep 2026 16:16Dear Michael, Thank you, that is very clear, and understood on the decision. A call is only a conversation. Monday morning suits me, so let us aim for that. I will send a calendar invitation today so it is in your diary. On cost, I would rather not quote you a number from memory. I will send you a written quote that sets out the one-off set-up, the yearly subscription, and the VAT position on each, so you can see the whole cost in one place. I will also say plainly what would and would not be needed for a business of your size, and I will not suggest anything your usage would not support. If your colleagues have questions they want covered, send them over and I will make sure they are answered on the call. Kind regards, Lewis
