What it says
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026A final QBR deck dated 29 Jun 2026, prepared by Marcus Bell. It reports rising usage, one high priority ticket and no overdue invoices ahead of the contract end on 28 Aug 2026. It is a review, not a contract, and states no service levels.
What it is: a QBR deck from Marcus Bell, Customer Success Manager, for a Starter account. It states "Contracted annual recurring revenue" of £24k, 25 licensed users and a contract end of 28 Aug 2026.
Claims: usage is "well up on the previous quarter" and only a share of seats is in regular use. Support shows "One" ticket in thirty days, and it was high priority.
Unusual: the deck calls Mossbrook BG-Demo's first implementation and referral partner. It also says the evidence is usage and support activity, with no measured time saved. The figures are given without numbers.
Not settled: it gives no renewal terms, price for the next term or outcome. The contract end of 28 Aug 2026 has passed, and the deck does not show whether renewal happened. It does not say who asks the questions, so key-person risk is unchecked. It is a customer-facing review and not the executed order form, so the order form decides price and terms.

Mossbrook builds and runs data warehouses for a large number of mid-sized clients across the North West. It uses B-Viz for its own client base, and it was BG-Demo's first implementation and referral partner. That makes this account more than a subscription for us.
Usage: the headline
- The average number of active users over the last thirty days is well up on the previous quarter. This is the strongest movement we have seen on the account since it joined.
- Only a share of the licensed seats is in regular use today, so there is plenty of room for more of the Mossbrook team to come on board without any change to the plan.
- The growth looks like adoption spreading to more people, not one or two heavy users carrying the account. I'd like to confirm that with a closer look at who is asking the questions before we say so with certainty.
What this tells us
A rising user count against a stable licence is the pattern we want in a Starter account: the tool is being picked up, and the team has not had to ask for anything extra to do it.
Value: what the team is getting
- Mossbrook's consultants spend less time reconciling information held in different systems and more time asking B-Viz directly.
- Because B-Viz runs inside the customer's own Snowflake account, it sits naturally alongside the work Mossbrook already does for its clients. That is a good fit for a Snowflake specialist.
- The evidence we hold on this account is usage and support activity. We do not yet have a measured figure for time saved, so this deck does not claim one.
Suggestion: at the next check-in, ask two or three power users to describe in their own words one job that is now quicker. That gives us a value story in Mossbrook's voice for the renewal.
Support and service
| Measure | Last thirty days |
|---|---|
| Tickets raised | One |
| High priority tickets | One |
| Overdue invoices | None |
- A single ticket in the period, and it was the high priority one. One ticket from a growing user base reads as a healthy, quiet account rather than a problem one.
- Invoices are being paid on time, so there is nothing to resolve on the finance side.
- If you would like a short write-up of the ticket and how it was handled, I'm happy to send it after the review.
The partnership beyond the subscription
- Mossbrook was our first implementation and referral partner. That relationship is worth protecting and building on.
- Mossbrook's clients are mid-sized businesses in the North West, which is the same kind of company we want to help.
- I'd like to use this review to ask how Mossbrook would like to work with us on referrals from here: what is working, and what would make it easier for its consultants to introduce B-Viz to clients.
Any commercial discussion around referrals sits with Sophie Ling as account owner, and I'll make sure she is part of that conversation.
Plan for the coming months
| Action | Owner | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Look at who is asking questions, to understand the spread of adoption | Marcus Bell | Before the next check-in |
| Offer a short session for newer users who have not yet started | Marcus Bell | Over the next few weeks |
| Capture one or two concrete examples of time saved | Marcus Bell with the Mossbrook team | Ahead of the renewal conversation |
| Agree renewal terms for the next term | Sophie Ling | Before the contract end on 28 Aug 2026 |
| Discuss the referral relationship | Sophie Ling with Marcus Bell | Alongside the renewal conversation |
Renewal
The current contract runs to 28 Aug 2026. The account is in a good place going into the renewal conversation: usage is rising, support has been quiet and invoices are up to date.
Terms for the next term will be discussed with Sophie Ling, who owns the commercial side. My part is to make sure the adoption story is clear and that Mossbrook has what it needs from us before it decides.
Summary and next step
- More people at Mossbrook are using B-Viz than last quarter.
- Support has been quiet and payments are on time.
- There is headroom on the existing licences.
- Mossbrook is also our first implementation and referral partner, so this is a relationship as well as a renewal.
Next step: shall we book half an hour with the Mossbrook team in the next couple of weeks to go through this deck, hear what is working and agree the plan above?
Thanks, Marcus
