Starter-tier QBR deck by Marcus Bell dated 1 Jan 2026. It shows £20k as the annual subscription on the account record, about two daily active users against 15 licences, and a term ending 28 Aug 2026. It states no availability or P1 figures.

What it is: a quarterly review prepared by Marcus Bell on 1 Jan 2026 for the Starter account, covering usage, support, partnership and renewal. It is a review deck, not a contract.

Commits: no party is bound. It restates that "The nightly refresh completes by 07:00 customer local time on business days, as on every tier" and that Starter service credits apply to availability only.

Unusual: Mossbrook is described as BG-Demo's first implementation and referral partner, so the deck says the account is worth more than its contracted figure suggests. It also admits there is no written, quantified value case, which it calls "a gap on our side".

Not settled: the term it cites ended on 28 Aug 2026, so the deck is stale. It does not show whether the subscription renewed or at what price, who is active, or how many questions they ask.

Mossbrook Data Partners - QBR

Prepared by Marcus Bell, Customer Success Manager, BG-Demo Date: 1 Jan 2026 Account owner: Sophie Ling Tier: Starter

Agenda

  • Where we are: the account at a glance
  • Usage: who is using B-Viz and how
  • Value: what Mossbrook gets from it
  • Support and service: tickets, billing, service levels
  • Partnership: Mossbrook as BG-Demo's first implementation and referral partner
  • Plan: what we do next, and who owns it

I've pulled the numbers for this review from the usage reports, the helpdesk and the accounting system. Where the evidence doesn't show something, I say so rather than guess.

Mossbrook is a Snowflake-specialist data consultancy. It builds and runs data warehouses for about sixty mid-sized clients in the North West. It uses B-Viz on Starter for its own client base, and it became our first implementation and referral partner.

The contracted figure above is the annual subscription as held on the account record. Implementation was a separate one-off fee and is not part of that number.

Usage: the headline

  • Over the last thirty days, around two people a day were active in B-Viz on average.
  • That is a small rise on the prior quarter, but from a very low base.
  • Fifteen users are licensed, so most of the allowance is unused.

The honest reading is that B-Viz is in regular use by a very small group inside Mossbrook, and the wider team has not picked it up. A small group of heavy users can be a healthy core, but it also means the value rests on very few people. If one of them is away or moves on, usage could drop sharply.

What the evidence does not show: from these figures alone I can't tell which individuals are active, how many questions they ask, or whether the use is on Mossbrook's own data or on client work. I'd like to cover that in the conversation rather than assume.

Headroom

The unused licences are headroom, not a problem in themselves. Mossbrook is a consultancy with a lot of people who handle client data every day, so there is a clear opportunity to bring more of the team in. Wider use is the single best way to make the subscription pay for itself.

Value: what Mossbrook gets

B-Viz gives Mossbrook one AI-queryable layer over its own CRM, calls, emails and tickets, run inside its own Snowflake account. For a Snowflake specialist that fit is natural: the data stays in an environment the team already knows how to run.

The value Mossbrook has described to us in general terms:

  • Less hand reconciliation between systems when preparing for client conversations.
  • Quicker answers to questions about its own pipeline and client history.
  • A credible, working example of B-Viz that it can show to its own clients.

We do not yet have a written, quantified value case for Mossbrook. That is a gap on our side. With so few daily users, we should agree with Mossbrook what a good outcome looks like and measure it, so the value is visible at renewal and not only assumed.

Support and service

MeasureLast thirty days
Tickets raisedNone
High-priority ticketsNone
Overdue invoicesNone
  • No tickets were raised in the period, so there is nothing to measure against the Starter response times.
  • The account is paid up. There are no overdue invoices.
  • Silence on the helpdesk is good news for service, but with low usage it is also a reason to check in directly. Quiet accounts do not always tell us when something is not working for them.

Service levels remain those of the Starter tier. Availability is at the Starter level. The nightly refresh completes by 07:00 customer local time on business days, as on every tier. Service credits on Starter apply to availability only.

Partnership

Mossbrook is more than a subscriber. It was our first implementation and referral partner, and its recommendation carries weight with mid-sized North West businesses.

That makes this account worth more than its contracted figure suggests. It also means the quality of Mossbrook's own experience matters to how we are seen by the clients it talks to. Keeping Mossbrook well supported, and visibly getting value, is part of looking after that relationship.

Opportunities to discuss with Mossbrook:

  • A short session to bring more of its own team into B-Viz.
  • How referrals are handled and how we make them easy for both sides.
  • Whether Mossbrook's own client work would fit better on a different tier. That is a conversation for Sophie, not one I will lead.

Looking ahead to the renewal

The current term ends on 28 Aug 2026. This subscription started under the earlier price book, and the renewal will be priced under the terms that apply at that point. Sophie Ling owns commercial terms and will lead that conversation. I will own adoption and the renewal notice, and will make sure Mossbrook has a clear view of its usage and value well before then.

What I'd like to have in place before the renewal conversation starts:

  • More people at Mossbrook using B-Viz regularly.
  • A simple written statement of the value Mossbrook gets, in its own words.
  • No surprises on the contract, billing or support side.

Summary

  • Mossbrook is paid up, with no tickets and no overdue invoices.
  • Usage is steady but concentrated in a very small group, against fifteen licensed users.
  • The partnership value is high, and worth protecting.
  • Our main job this year is to widen use and put the value in writing before the term ends on 28 Aug 2026.

Happy to jump on a call to go through any of this. Shall we book thirty minutes?

Thanks, Marcus
