What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Dana Pulaski wants shipment answers that are right and honest about uncertainty. The demo showed a timestamp mismatch she called exactly her problem. Security, residency and refresh limits are open items before a COO demo.
What happened: Hannah Lowe ran a sample on Bubbly Creek's dispatch records and inbox threads. It flagged a mismatch between dispatch and inbox times, which Dana called exactly their problem.
Customer view: Dana's concern is wrong shipment status reaching retailers. She does not want a tool deciding what the retailer hears, and accepts that same-day answers are only as fresh as the last refresh.
Commercial: The discussion sits on Enterprise: single sign-on, SCIM, the freshness credit and a 07:00 nightly refresh. Jordan Pike wants the COO to see it. Dedicated EU or US residency is an add-on, not yet confirmed.
Watch: The mixed-mode handoff notes partly sit in a spreadsheet, deferred for later. Dana owes a residency question list by the end of the week. The evidence does not show a price or a decision date.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Dana Pulaski to send the residency and security question list by the end of the week.
- Hannah Lowe to log the residency item and put access answers in writing with control references.
- Jordan Pike to send the COO demo invite and the security pack to the IT lead.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Handoff notes held in a spreadsheet are out of scope, so mixed-mode answers may be incomplete.
- Nightly refresh cannot serve same-day shipment questions, which Dana raised as a limit.
- Data residency requirements are unconfirmed and could need an add-on.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Enterprise fit with single sign-on, SCIM and a freshness credit that Dana asked about.
- A COO demo and an account manager training session could widen sponsorship.
- The spreadsheet could be brought into scope later.
Transcript
- Jordan PikeHi everyone, thanks for making time. Agenda: a quick look at the shipment answers on your data, then the security questions Hannah's set up. Time check, we've got about an hour, so let's go.
- Dana PulaskiHi Jordan. Hi Hannah. Good to see the agenda. Let's go.
- Hannah LoweHi Dana, hi all. Before I start, what do you most need to know about how this works?
- Dana PulaskiWhether it's right. If a retailer gets a wrong shipment status from us, that's a complaint, and the account managers get the blame.
- Hannah LoweUnderstood. To be precise, the answer is always built from the source records, and it tells you when they were last refreshed. So if it's wrong, you can see whether the source was wrong or whether our join was.
- Dana PulaskiOkay. Show me.
- Hannah LoweI'll share my screen. This is a sample of your dispatch records and the inbox threads, copied into your Snowflake account, so nothing leaves your environment. Can you see a search box?
- Dana PulaskiYes. Can someone ask it where a particular load is?
- Jordan PikeLet's do it. Dana, pick a load number from one of the complaints last month.
- Dana PulaskiOkay, I'll type the reference from the inbox. It's the one with the transload at the rail side.
- Hannah LoweGood. The short answer is it'll show the last status from dispatch and the last message in the inbox. The longer answer is it shows both, and flags where they disagree on the time.
- Dana PulaskiOh, it's found a mismatch. The dispatch says it left the terminal earlier than the inbox says.
- Hannah LoweRight, that's the join problem you described. The timestamps are in different time zones, and the handoff note is in the inbox, not in dispatch.
- Dana PulaskiThat's exactly our problem. Our people would have guessed.
- Jordan PikeThat's the win, right there. The answer doesn't pretend to know. What would your account managers do with that?
- Dana PulaskiThey'd tell the retailer the truth. That the status is uncertain and when they'll confirm.
- Hannah LoweI'd suggest that as a rule for the team. Don't pick the more favourable of the two timestamps. Report both and say which is more likely.
- Dana PulaskiCan it do that automatically, or is it on the account manager to check?
- Hannah LoweIt flags the mismatch automatically. It won't decide which one is right, because that depends on your operations, so the decision stays with your people.
- Dana PulaskiGood. I don't want a tool deciding what the retailer hears.
- Hannah LoweAgreed. I'll put that principle in the note I send you, so it's clear what the tool does and doesn't do.
- Jordan PikeDana, that's the kind of thing I'd like your COO to see. Shall we move on to the set-up and the security side?
- Dana PulaskiYes. Our IT lead has a list. Can we go through the single sign-on first?
- Hannah LoweOf course. Enterprise supports single sign-on through your identity provider, and provisioning through SCIM, so users are added and removed from your directory. To be precise, you keep control of the directory, and we don't hold passwords.
- Dana PulaskiGood. What about the data residency? Our customers in the EU would ask.
- Hannah LoweWe'd need to talk about that separately. Dedicated EU or US residency is an add-on, so I'd rather not give you a guess on where the data sits until we've confirmed your requirements in writing.
- Dana PulaskiFair. I'll get the list of questions to you so we're not guessing.
- Jordan PikeGood idea. Let's log that as an open item with an owner, so it doesn't get lost.
- Hannah LoweI'll log it. The owner on our side is me, and the question is for Dana's team, with the list coming by the end of the week.
- Dana PulaskiOkay. Next question. Who in your company can see our data?
- Hannah LoweAccess to the data inside your Snowflake account is controlled by your account settings. Our engineers only get access when you grant it, for build and support, and that's recorded. The short answer is you decide. The longer answer is it's written into the order form.
- Dana PulaskiGood. Our security team will ask for that in writing.
- Hannah LoweI'll put it in writing with the control reference, so your IT team can check it against their questionnaire.
- Dana PulaskiThat's helpful. Let's go back to the shipment questions. Can it handle the mixed-mode loads, the ones that go on the truck and then the rail?
- Hannah LoweYes, if the handoff notes are in the connected sources. That's the part I'd want your ops people to confirm, because if the notes live in someone's head, the answer won't include them.
- Dana PulaskiSome of them are in the inbox, some in a spreadsheet. I'll be honest, the spreadsheet is a problem.
- Jordan PikeThat's useful to know. Would you bring the spreadsheet into scope, or leave it for later?
- Dana PulaskiLater, I think. Let's prove the inbox and dispatch first.
- Hannah LoweThat's a sensible order. I'd also suggest a check on the refresh time, because for shipment questions the freshness matters more than anything else.
- Dana PulaskiAgreed. What's the refresh commitment on Enterprise?
- Hannah LoweNightly refresh is complete by seven in the morning on business days, and on Enterprise we credit you if we miss freshness for a month. I'd rather you hold us to that than take my word for it.
- Dana PulaskiOkay. But the nightly refresh doesn't help for same-day shipments.
- Hannah LoweCorrect, to be precise. For same-day questions, the answer is as fresh as the last refresh, and it shows you the time. That's the limit, and I'd rather you know it than discover it.
- Dana PulaskiRight. That's the honest answer, and I can work with it.
- Jordan PikeI'd add that for the account managers, the refresh time on the screen is the thing to teach. If they check that first, most of the guessing goes away.
- Dana PulaskiYes. I'll make sure that's in the training.
- Hannah LoweI'd be happy to run a short session for the account managers, after the security review is done, so the first use is in good shape.
- Dana PulaskiGood. Let's talk about the security review timing. Can you start it before April?
- Hannah LoweWe can start it now. The questionnaire takes a while, and the IT questions are the usual ones, so I'll send the pack this week.
- Dana PulaskiThanks Hannah. That's really helpful. Jordan, what happens next from your side?
- Jordan PikeI'll send the demo invite for you and your COO, and I'll send the security pack to your IT lead. Hannah will follow up on the data residency questions.
- Dana PulaskiPerfect. I'll get the questions to you by the end of the week.
- Hannah LoweThanks Dana. I'll put the answers in writing, with the references, so IT can check them.
- Jordan PikeThanks everyone. That was a good session. Speak soon.
- Dana PulaskiThanks all. Bye.
