What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Hazel Bourne saw B-Viz on Hartlebury's sample files, liked the email search and said she thinks they are close. She wants a stale renewal fixed before anyone trusts it. Starter for one team remains the proposal.
What happened: On 7 Mar 2024 Priya Raman and Tobias Renwick demoed on Hartlebury's sample files. Robin Gittins did not join, and Hazel Bourne asked that the security write-up go to him.
Customer view: Hazel's compliance questions are where the data goes, who can see it and whether it can be taken back out. She said of the stale renewal, "I'd want that fixed before anyone trusts it. But I like that it shows you."
Commercial: Priya will send the proposal refresh on the Starter tier, scoped to the one team. Hazel said she thinks they are close, but the decision sits with Robin, who was absent.
Watch: Tobias said the data stays in Hartlebury's Snowflake account, with the trade-off that roles must be set up properly. Data accuracy in the first weeks will shape trust.

Next steps

- Priya Raman to send the proposal refresh on Starter, scoped to one team.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- A renewed policy still showed as open, so data not written back could damage trust if not fixed early.
- Robin Gittins, who signs off, missed the demo and will judge from the written security design alone.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Hazel called the email search the big one for her team, a clear value case for Starter.
- A clean role design for compliance could settle the security review and speed the order form.
Transcript
- Priya RamanHi Hazel, good afternoon. Tobias is here. Right, recap: last time we agreed the demo on your own files, so that's what we're doing today.
- Hazel BourneHi Priya, hello Tobias. Yes, I've got the sample files open. Robin said he'd try to join but he's in a meeting.
- Tobias RenwickHello. Good to see you again. Before we start, what will your compliance people need to see?
- Hazel BourneThey'll ask where the client data goes, who can see it, and whether we can take it back out. Those are the three questions every time.
- Tobias RenwickGood. To be precise: B-Viz runs inside your own Snowflake account, so the data stays in your environment. The access is controlled by your own roles, and removing the data is a matter of removing it from your account. The trade-off is that you do need to set those roles up properly.
- Hazel BourneOkay. That's the answer I need. Let's see it working.
- Priya RamanBrilliant. Tobias, shall I take the screen or do you want it?
- Tobias RenwickYou take it, and I'll talk over the top. Think of it as one layer across the policy records, claims and email. Your team asks a question in plain English.
- Hazel BourneRight. So, which clients have a renewal in the next quarter and an open claim?
- Tobias RenwickLet's try that. There's the list, and each line shows the policy record and the claim it came from, so nothing is taken on trust.
- Hazel BourneOh, that's good. Hang on, one of these I know has been renewed. Why's it still on the list?
- Tobias RenwickThe honest answer is that the renewal hasn't been written back to the policy record yet. The platform shows what the system holds, which is the useful thing to fix.
- Priya RamanThat's a great example, actually. It's the kind of thing we'd tidy up in the first weeks, and it makes the data stronger.
- Hazel BourneYes. I'd want that fixed before anyone trusts it. But I like that it shows you.
- Tobias RenwickAgreed. Let me show the email search now. This is the one that will save your team the most time.
- Hazel BourneGo on, that's the big one for us.
- Tobias RenwickSo the next step on the security side: I'll put the role design in writing for your compliance team, and I'll be precise about what's in and out of scope.
- Hazel BournePlease do. And send it to Robin as well, he'll want to read it himself.
- Priya RamanWill do. I'll also send the proposal refresh, and let's keep it simple: the Starter tier, scoped to the one team.
- Hazel BourneGood. I think we're close. Thanks, both.
- Priya RamanThank you. Speak soon, Hazel.
- Tobias RenwickThanks, Hazel. Bye.
- Hazel BourneBye both.
