What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Mick Overton saw a demo of dispatch and invoice queries. His main worry was where the data sits. Tobias Renwick said B-Viz runs inside the customer's own Snowflake account, which eased it. Follow-up and proposal agreed.
What happened: Tom Ashdown and Tobias Renwick demoed B-Viz to Mick on a sample of Crowle Moor's own data, starting with dispatch and delivery notes, then invoices and payments.
Customer view: Mick's pain is chasing people for load status and invoicing across separate systems. His IT colleague's concern is data control, and Mick said the in-account model was less of a worry than he thought.
Commercial: Mick asked for the layout to go to him and to finance, who will want to see the invoice side. No tier or price was discussed on this call, and the transcript has a long gap between 00:04:27 and 00:52:10.
Watch: The demo exposed a signed delivery note that was not matched to a job. Tobias framed it as a data gap to tidy in the first weeks. Answers are only as fresh as the nightly refresh, which Mick accepted.

- Tom AshdownHiya Mick, can you see us? Good afternoon. Sorry, my camera's been playing up all morning.
- Mick OvertonAfternoon, Tom. Yeah, I can see you. Not much to see, mind. How's your week been?
- Tom AshdownBusy, but no drama. Tobias is just jumping on, he's finishing something for another call.
- Mick OvertonRight. I've got to keep one eye on the yard, so if I disappear, that's why.
- Tom AshdownFair enough, we'll keep it tight. Last time you said dispatch was where it hurts most, so I thought we'd start there and then get into the bits your team actually asked about.
- Mick OvertonYeah, that's the one. Half the day I'm chasing people for where a load is and whether it's been invoiced, and it's all in different places.
- Tobias RenwickApologies, I'm here now. Mick, good to meet you properly. Before we start, what will your IT people want to see first?
- Mick OvertonHonestly, where the data sits. Our IT lad wants to know it isn't going somewhere we can't control.
- Tobias RenwickGood, that's the right question. To be precise, B-Viz runs inside your own Snowflake account, so the data stays in your environment and we operate it there. The honest answer is that we need some set-up access in your account, and I'd rather say that up front.
- Mick OvertonOkay. That's less of a worry than I thought, if it's staying with us.
- Tom AshdownBrilliant. Tobias, do you want to show him the layout first, or go straight in?
- Tobias RenwickLayout first, briefly. Then Mick can ask anything, and we'll run it on your own data rather than a dummy set.
- Mick OvertonGo on then. Dispatch and invoice data, that's the bit I want to see working.
- Tobias RenwickRight. Think of it as one layer on top of the systems you already have. Your dispatch system, the accounts package, the shared inbox. Your team asks a question in plain English and gets an answer with a note of where it came from.
- Mick OvertonSo something like, which jobs are still waiting on a signed delivery note?
- Tobias RenwickExactly that. Let me pull up your sample. There, that's the list, and each row links to the record it came from.
- Mick OvertonHang on, that's one from last week that our driver swore he'd sent. Is it wrong or is it just not matched?
- Tobias RenwickThe honest answer is it's showing what's in the system. If the signed note was scanned into the inbox but never attached to the job, B-Viz won't know it exists. That's a useful finding, actually, because it tells you where the gap is.
- Tom AshdownMick, that's exactly the sort of thing we'd want to tidy up in the first few weeks, no drama at all.
- Mick OvertonYeah. Right, carry on. Can it do the invoice side, or is that a separate thing?
- Tobias RenwickSame layer. It reads the invoices and payments from your accounts package, so you can ask which jobs have gone out without a matching payment. The trade-off is that the answer is only as fresh as the nightly refresh, so it won't show something entered this afternoon.
- Mick OvertonThat's fine. Most of it's looked at in the morning anyway.
- Tobias RenwickGood. Anything you'd like me to try next?
- Tom AshdownMick, I'll get the follow-up through to you. Tobias, if you can send your layout over, I'll put it with the proposal.
- Mick OvertonYeah, send it to me, and loop in our finance lady as well, she'll want to see the invoice side.
- Tobias RenwickWill do. I'll put the data-location detail in writing so your IT lad has it.
- Tom AshdownBrilliant. Right, let's get something in the diary for the proposal. Cheers, Mick.
- Mick OvertonCheers, Tom. Speak soon. Bye, Tobias.
- Tobias RenwickThanks, Mick. Bye.
