What was said
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Consultants went back to spreadsheets because they could not see their own clients or money. CRM data has landed but accounting is waiting on written read access. Donna Wragg also raised an overdue invoice. Jodie is the only admin.
What happened: Callie Brennan reviewed the refresh with Donna Wragg and Jodie Burkinshaw. The CRM has come through and maps cleanly, but invoices and placements value have not, so consultants see clients without the money.
Customer view: Donna said the consultants logged in, could not see their own clients and returned to spreadsheets. She stressed that she cannot make them use something that slows them down.
Commercial: Donna mentioned a nudge about an invoice she thought had gone through, which Callie will pass to Nell Ashcombe, the account owner. Adoption is thin: about one person active, and that is Jodie.
Watch: Jodie is the only admin and Donna declined to take the role. The finance person is worried the connector can change things, and Jodie said sign-off can take a couple of weeks if not chased.

Follow-up
Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Callie to send the setup note and a short read-only explanation for the finance person today.
- Callie to flag the overdue invoice to Nell Ashcombe so she can contact Donna directly.
- Jodie to chase written accounting access and name a second admin by the end of the week.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Consultants have reverted to spreadsheets because the data they need is not yet visible, so adoption is near one active user.
- Accounting connector is blocked until the customer's finance person grants written read access, which could take days or weeks.
- Jodie is the only admin, and Donna declined to take the role.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Once the accounting data lands, consultants can see client, roles, placements and invoices in one place, which Donna called the whole point.
- A training session built around Carl's driving clients could win over the loudest sceptic and the wider consultant team.
Transcript
- Callie BrennanHello, can you hear me alright? Afternoon, both.
- Donna WraggAfternoon! Yes, loud and clear. Jodie's just coming in, I think.
- Jodie BurkinshawHere, sorry. I was on mute and then the wrong headphones. Afternoon.
- Callie BrennanNo problem at all. So, the plan for the next forty-odd minutes. First, where the refresh has got to. Second, what I need from your side to finish the connectors. Third, getting the consultants actually using it before the training on Tuesday. Then I'll write it all up in a setup note and send it over. Does that work?
- Donna WraggWorks for me. Can I start with what the consultants have been saying? Because it's not great.
- Callie BrennanPlease, go on.
- Donna WraggThey said they logged in, couldn't see their own clients, and went back to the spreadsheets. Which client is that, they said, where's my client? Simple as that. And honestly I can't make them use something that slows them down.
- Callie BrennanThat's fair, and it's useful to hear. Can I say what I'm seeing on our side? On average there's about one person active in the last few weeks. And I think that one person is Jodie.
- Jodie BurkinshawYeah. That's me. I've been poking around mostly to check the data looks right. I haven't pushed anyone else to it because, well, half of it wasn't there.
- Callie BrennanRight, and that's the thing I want to get to. Before we switch on the refresh for everything, let me say what has landed. Your CRM has come through and that maps cleanly: roles, clients, the consultant who owns each one. What hasn't is the accounting side, so the invoices and the placements value. That's why a consultant sees the client but not the money.
- Donna WraggMm. And that's the bit they'd actually want. Client, roles, placements, invoices, all in one place. That was the whole point.
- Callie BrennanExactly. So what I need from your side is the read access for the accounting system. I never start a connector without it in writing, so I need it written down, an email is fine, saying who has granted it and what it covers.
- Jodie BurkinshawI did ask our finance person last week. They wanted to know what it could see. I think they're worried it can change things.
- Callie BrennanIt can't. It's read only, and it all sits inside your own Snowflake account, so nothing leaves your environment. I can put that in a short paragraph for them. Would that help?
- Jodie BurkinshawThat would be brilliant, yes. If it comes from you it'll carry more weight than me saying it.
- Donna WraggWhile we're on finance, I should say. I've had a nudge about an invoice from you lot. I thought it had gone through. Is that the one that's overdue?
- Callie BrennanI can see there's one showing as overdue, but I'm on the implementation side, so I don't want to guess at the detail. That's with Nell Ashcombe, your account owner. I'll flag it to her today so she can come back to you directly.
- Donna WraggTa. I'll chase our end as well. It might have been sat with someone on holiday. Typical.
- Callie BrennanNo stress. I just don't want it hanging around while we're trying to get everyone comfortable. Right, back to the connectors. Once I have that access, how long does your finance person usually take?
- Jodie BurkinshawA few days if I'm on at them. A couple of weeks if I'm not.
- Donna WraggI'll be on at them. Put it in the note and I'll wave it at them.
- Callie BrennanLovely. Then my suggestion is that the accounting refresh runs as soon as access is in, I check the first load myself, and I don't hand over until the figures match what Jodie sees in the books. I don't like saying it should be fine when I haven't looked.
- Jodie BurkinshawI'm happy to do that check. I know which clients are awkward.
- Donna WraggDriving, mostly. Carl's lot. They change shape every month.
- Callie BrennanCarl's the senior consultant on driving, yes? I've got him down for the training. Is he the right person to start with?
- Donna WraggHe is. If it works for Carl it works for everyone. He's the one who moans loudest, in a good way.
- Callie BrennanThen I'll build the Tuesday session around his clients, so he sees his own roles first. Keep it simple for the consultants, as you say.
- Donna WraggExactly. Does it save my lot time? That's the only question that matters to them.
- Callie BrennanFair. Then I'd rather show them one thing that saves ten minutes than five things that look clever. Jodie, one more thing. The admin side. At the moment you're the only admin, and there's nobody who could run things if you were off.
- Jodie BurkinshawYeah, I'd thought about that. Donna could have the access, couldn't she?
- Donna WraggI'd rather not, to be honest. I'd only break something. But I'll find someone.
- Callie BrennanHave a think and tell me who. I want you able to run it alone, and a second person means that's true when you're on leave.
- Jodie BurkinshawOkay. I'll come back to you on that by the end of the week.
- Callie BrennanPerfect. So to recap. I'll send the setup note and the paragraph for your finance person today. I'll tell Nell about the invoice. Jodie, you chase access and think about a second admin. Donna, you nudge finance and keep Tuesday clear for Carl.
- Donna WraggDone. Anything else, or can I get back to my lot?
- Callie BrennanThat's everything from me. Thanks both, speak soon.
- Jodie BurkinshawThanks, Callie. Bye.
- Donna WraggTa, bye.
