What was said
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Donna Wragg said the first Starter invoice is overdue, partly missed internally and partly because she doubts the value while nothing is connected. She intends to pay once CRM data is live.
What happened: Donna raised the overdue first annual Starter invoice of £20k. She said it was missed internally but she is wary of paying for something nobody is using yet.
Customer view: Donna wants proof that it saves time: which client, which role, what was invoiced. She will not push the invoice through before she sees something working, and payment also needs sign-off from another person.
Commercial: This is a value question rather than a refusal to pay. The block is accounting access, because finance had questions about data location and cancellation that Jodie Burkinshaw had not answered.
Watch: Callie Brennan cannot waive or move the due date. That sits with the account owner, Nell Ashcombe, and finance, and no date was promised.

Follow-up
Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Callie to send the data note today, run the CRM test load and update Nell on the invoice.
- Jodie to forward the invoice to the payment approver and answer finance using Callie's note.
- Jodie to pick three people from the warehouse team for the first walkthrough.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- The first annual Starter invoice stays unpaid while nothing is connected for consultants to use.
- Finance questions on data location and cancellation are unanswered and block accounting access.
- If the CRM data is not shown working soon, doubt about the subscription's value could harden.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Showing roles and placements from the CRM this week could give Donna the proof she wants.
- A short walkthrough for three warehouse team members could build early adoption.
Transcript
- Callie BrennanMorning both. Jodie, I can see you. Donna, are you on?
- Donna WraggI'm here, I'm here. Sorry, the consultants were at me about the diary system again. Honestly, it's been that sort of morning.
- Jodie BurkinshawMorning, Callie. Donna, you sound frazzled.
- Donna WraggI am a bit. Go on, Callie, what's the plan?
- Callie BrennanPlan for the next forty minutes: where we are on connectors, what's blocking us, and the invoice, since I know that's been raised. Then agreed actions with dates. Is that all right?
- Donna WraggFine. Let's do the invoice first, it's been bothering me.
- Callie BrennanSure. As I understand it, the first annual invoice for Starter, £19,500, has gone past its due date. I'm not on the billing side, so I can't tell you more than that, but I'd rather we talked about it than skirted round it.
- Donna WraggYeah. That's on us, partly. It landed in somebody's inbox who was away, and then nobody picked it up. But also, to be straight, I'm wary of paying for something none of my lot are using yet.
- Callie BrennanThat's fair, and I'd say the same. The honest position is that nothing's connected for them to use. We're stuck waiting on access for the accounting system, and until it's in I can't give your consultants anything worth opening.
- Jodie BurkinshawThat's my fault, Callie. I asked finance and they came back with questions, and I haven't got round to answering them.
- Donna WraggWhat questions?
- Jodie BurkinshawWho sees the data, whether it leaves our systems, what happens if we cancel. Reasonable things.
- Callie BrennanAll reasonable, and I can answer them in writing today. Short version: it's built inside your own Snowflake account, read-only access, nothing leaves, and if you ever stop, the data is yours because it never left. I'll put that in a note you can hand to them.
- Donna WraggGood. Does it save my lot time, though? That's what I keep coming back to. Which client is that, which role, what did we invoice. If they can't ask that without three screens, I don't want it.
- Callie BrennanThat's precisely the use. Roles and placements from the CRM, invoices from accounting, in one place. The CRM connection is the quickest, so what I'd like to do is get that live this week and show you the roles and placements before the invoice side is sorted. Then you can judge it on something real.
- Donna WraggThat's more like it. Jodie, can we do that?
- Jodie BurkinshawI've already sent written access for the CRM, Callie has that. It's only accounting that's stuck.
- Callie BrennanYes, I have it, and the field mapping is done apart from source flag, which Jodie confirmed. That maps cleanly. So before we switch on the refresh, I'll run a test load and compare counts with your side.
- Donna WraggAnd the invoice? I'm not trying to be difficult, but I'd rather see something working before I push it through.
- Callie BrennanI understand. I can't waive or move a due date myself, that's with our account owner, Nell Ashcombe, and finance. What I can do is tell Nell exactly what you've said: the invoice was missed on your side, you intend to pay, and you want to see the CRM data live first. Is that a fair summary?
- Donna WraggRoughly. I do intend to pay. I just want to know it's earning its keep. And I can't decide money on my own, it goes past the person who signs off payments here.
- Callie BrennanUnderstood. Then I'd suggest Jodie gets the invoice in front of that person today so it isn't sitting anywhere, and I'll flag to Nell that a date is coming. I won't promise anything on her behalf.
- Jodie BurkinshawI can do that. I'll forward it with a note.
- Donna WraggTa. And keep it simple for the consultants, Callie. If they need training on day one, they won't bother.
- Callie BrennanAgreed. Pages and chat, ask a question in plain English, and that's it. I'll do a short walkthrough for the first few of you rather than the whole floor.
- Donna WraggWho do we start with?
- Jodie BurkinshawI'd say the warehouse team. They place the most, so they'll notice quickest if it's wrong.
- Donna WraggYeah, go with them.
- Callie BrennanGood. Actions, then. Me: send the data note today, run the CRM test load, and update Nell on the invoice. Jodie: forward the invoice, answer finance with my note, and pick three people from the warehouse team. Donna: nothing but patience. Anything I've missed?
- Donna WraggNo, that's it. Cheers, Callie. Ta, Donna, and all that.
- Callie BrennanSpeak soon. Thanks, Callie.
- Jodie BurkinshawSorry, still here, I think I'm the last one on. Bye.
