What was said
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026First onboarding call. Jodie Burkinshaw agreed four connectors for Starter but finance access to the accounting system is uncertain, and she is the only admin. No renewal or value signal yet.
What happened: Callie Brennan confirmed the Starter scope with Jodie: one team, fifteen users, four connectors. They agreed the CRM, accounting system, mailbox and call recorder, with the call recorder connected last.
Customer view: Jodie said she would drop the call recorder first because half the team do not use it properly. She owns the CRM side but must ask finance for accounting access and does not know how quickly they will reply.
Commercial: Jodie expects few users at first, so there is no headroom signal yet. She is the sole admin and Donna Wragg is only the sponsor, which is a key-person risk for the subscription.
Watch: Accounting access is the likely blocker, and the source flag mapping is held until Jodie confirms values in writing. The call ends with an unanswered mailbox question.

Follow-up
Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Jodie to ask finance about accounting access and send the source flag values.
- Callie to send the forwardable data note and the written access template.
- Callie to book the next session once CRM access lands.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Finance may be slow to grant accounting system access, which would delay the connectors.
- Jodie is the only admin, so the account depends on one person.
- Call recorder adoption is patchy, so that connector may add little value.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- A backup admin could be named later, which deepens ownership of B-Viz.
- A small first group could widen to more consultants once the first connectors work.
Transcript
- Callie BrennanMorning, Jodie. Can you hear me all right?
- Jodie BurkinshawMorning. Yeah, loud and clear. Can you see my screen or is that not on yet?
- Callie BrennanNot yet, we'll get to that. How's your week been?
- Jodie BurkinshawBusy. We've got a big warehouse push on in Doncaster so the consultants are glued to their phones. I've sneaked off to a meeting room to do this.
- Callie BrennanGood, that's what we want, a bit of quiet. Right, let me give you the plan for the next hour, or the next forty-odd minutes really. First, I'll go through what you've signed up to, so we're agreed on the scope. Then connectors, which is the main part. Then who does what before we switch on the refresh. And I'll leave a few minutes at the end for your questions.
- Jodie BurkinshawSounds sensible. Donna said you'd be methodical.
- Callie BrennanHa, that's the nicest thing anyone's said about me this week. So, scope. You're on Starter, signed on 31 Jul 2023, annual contract at £19,500. That's one team, fifteen users, and up to four connectors. The connectors are a hard limit, the users are a soft one.
- Jodie BurkinshawSoft meaning what, exactly? If we go over?
- Callie BrennanMeaning nothing stops working, but somebody from our side would have a conversation with you about it. You're nowhere near that yet, so don't lose sleep.
- Jodie BurkinshawFine. Honestly I doubt we'll hit fifteen in the first few months. It's me, Donna, and a couple of the senior consultants to start with.
- Callie BrennanThat's a perfectly good way to start. Small group, get it right, then widen it. Now, connectors. What I need from your side is a list of the four sources you want in first. Donna mentioned roles, placements and invoices in the sales call. Is that still the picture?
- Jodie BurkinshawMostly. The roles and placements are all in our recruitment database, which is the CRM, basically. Invoices are in the accounting system. Then there's the mailbox, because consultants live in email, and the call recorder, because they're meant to log client calls.
- Callie BrennanMeant to.
- Jodie BurkinshawMeant to, yes. That's partly why we're here.
- Callie BrennanThat maps cleanly onto four, so the CRM, the accounting system, the mailbox and the call recorder. Anything you'd drop if you had to choose?
- Jodie BurkinshawI'd drop the call recorder first. Half the team don't use it properly. But Donna would be cross.
- Callie BrennanLet's keep it in the plan, but connect it last. That way if the first three go smoothly you've got something to show people before the patchy one.
- Jodie BurkinshawYeah, that works.
- Callie BrennanBefore we switch on the refresh, I never start a connector without written access. So for each system I need an email from you, or from whoever owns it, saying which account we're allowed to use and what it can see. Read-only is fine, it's all we need.
- Jodie BurkinshawI own the CRM side, that's easy. The accounting system is our finance team's. I'd have to ask them, and I don't know how quickly they'll come back.
- Callie BrennanUnderstood. Can you ask them today? I'd rather know by the end of next week whether it's going to be a problem, then I can reorder things.
- Jodie BurkinshawI'll message them straight after this. Do I just forward them something from you?
- Callie BrennanI'll send you a short note after the call that you can forward as it is. It says what we read, what we don't touch, and that everything sits in your own Snowflake account, not ours. People find that reassuring.
- Jodie BurkinshawGood, because finance will ask where the data goes.
- Callie BrennanIt stays with you. We build inside your account and we run there. Now, can I share my screen and show you the field mapping for the CRM? I've done a first pass from the sample export you sent.
- Jodie BurkinshawGo for it.
- Callie BrennanRight, so, you can see the left-hand column is your fields and the right is where they land. Client, role title, role type, so warehouse, driving, engineering, start date, placement fee. Most of those line up straight away. Two I'm not sure about: there's a field called status two, and another called source flag.
- Jodie BurkinshawOh, status two. That's a leftover. Somebody added it years ago and nobody removed it. Ignore it. Source flag is whether the candidate came from a job board or a referral. Consultants use it for bonuses, so it matters.
- Callie BrennanBrilliant, that's exactly the sort of thing I can't guess. I won't say it should be fine about a mapping I haven't checked, so I'll hold source flag until you confirm the allowed values in writing.
- Jodie BurkinshawI'll write them up. There's about a handful, it won't take long.
- Callie BrennanLovely. Now the timing. Once access is in, I connect the CRM first, run a test load, and check the record counts against what you see on your side. Then the first full refresh. Nightly refresh is done by 07:00 on business days, so your consultants open it in the morning and it's current.
- Jodie BurkinshawAnd the first one, how long does that take?
- Callie BrennanDepends on volume. With your size, overnight, I'd expect. I'll tell you after the test load rather than promise something now.
- Jodie BurkinshawFair. Better than a guess.
- Callie BrennanQuick question on admins. Is it only you who'll look after this?
- Jodie BurkinshawJust me, for now. Donna's the sponsor but she won't be touching settings.
- Callie BrennanThen I'll write the setup note so that you could run it alone. And I'd suggest we name a backup admin at some point, just somebody who can log in if you're off.
- Jodie BurkinshawYeah, I'd like that. Not this month though.
- Callie BrennanNot this month is fine. Let's recap actions. You: ask finance about accounting access, send me the source flag values, and tell me who owns the mailbox and call recorder accounts. Me: send you the forwardable note today, then the written access template, and book our next session once the CRM access lands.
- Jodie BurkinshawGot it. Should I copy Donna in on all that?
- Callie BrennanPlease do. She'll want to see it moving.
- Jodie BurkinshawShe will. Right, thanks Callie, that was clearer than I expected.
- Callie BrennanGood. Speak soon. Thanks, Jodie.
- Jodie BurkinshawSorry, one last thing, I've just realised I never asked about the mailbox. I'll email you. Bye.
