What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Katharina Huber has read the Growth proposal twice and confirmed scope and EU hosting. The sixty-two thousand pound figure includes implementation. Decision is still 30 Jan 2026, but she does not decide budget alone.
What happened: Matteo Ricci and Katharina went through the proposal. She restated it as Growth tier, customer success and support on one layer, data in an EU region inside their own Snowflake account.
Customer view: She asked what happens to the subscription when the first term ends, because "we do not like surprises at renewal". Matteo promised plain renewal wording in the order form, in writing.
Commercial: Matteo clarified the total is sixty-two thousand pounds including the one-off implementation, not the yearly subscription alone. Legal has the data note and so far has no objection, but wants location and deletion rights in the contract.
Watch: No go-live date was given. The decision still sits above Katharina.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Matteo Ricci sends the one-page summary with price, scope and the EU point, plus the clarified renewal wording.

- Legal wants data location and deletion rights visible in the order form, and the wording is not yet agreed.
- No go-live date is agreed while Lukas's small team faces a year-end workload.
Opportunities

Transcript
- Matteo RicciGood morning, Katharina. Can you hear me? I wasn't sure anyone would be at their desk this week.
- Katharina HuberGood morning, Matteo. Yes, I hear you. The office is nearly empty, but the renewal list does not take holidays, so here I am.
- Matteo RicciHa, I know how that is. Thank you for making the time. Let me restate where we are, so we are aligned. After the demo earlier this month, you asked for a written proposal, and the decision date we have been working towards is 30 Jan 2026. Is that still right?
- Katharina HuberYes, that is still right. Though I want to be careful, I can say what I recommend, but I do not decide budget alone.
- Matteo RicciUnderstood, and that is why I would like the proposal to be easy to carry upstairs. Did you have a chance to read it?
- Katharina HuberI read it twice. Let me tell you what I understood, and you correct me. Growth tier, our customer success and support teams on the same layer, and the data in an EU region inside our own Snowflake account.
- Matteo RicciThat is exactly right. And on the price, to be clear about what the figure means: the total is sixty-two thousand pounds, and that includes the one-off implementation. It is not the yearly subscription on its own. I would rather you heard that from me than found it in the small print.
- Katharina HuberGood, thank you. That is what I suspected from the layout, but I wanted to hear it. So the all-in figure is sixty-two thousand, and the subscription is part of it and the implementation is part of it.
- Matteo RicciYes. The proposal splits the two, so you can show your colleagues each part separately. If anything looks unclear, tell me and I will clarify it in writing.
- Katharina HuberOne question on that. When the first term ends, what happens to the subscription? We need it documented, because we do not like surprises at renewal. We hear the same complaint from our own installers.
- Matteo RicciFair, and an honest comparison. The renewal terms will sit in the order form, and I will make sure the wording is plain. Let me confirm that in writing rather than quote it from memory.
- Katharina HuberPlease do. Next point: the scope. Which teams are included? My team is customer success, but Lukas runs support operations and he will use it as much as I do.
- Matteo RicciBoth teams are in scope. Growth is designed for several teams, so customer success and support operations fit. If a third team wanted in later, we would discuss it then, and I would not want to assume it today.
- Katharina HuberFine. Now the data. Everything in the EU, yes? I cannot compromise on that.
- Matteo RicciUnderstood. The proposal states that the deployment is in your Snowflake account, in the EU region you select. Hannah has also sent the note on data location and access, as promised. Did it reach you?
- Katharina HuberIt did, and Lukas has read it. He had a few small questions about roles, which he will send to Hannah directly. Legal has it too, and so far they have no objection.
- Matteo RicciGood. If your legal team has questions, what does your regulator need to see? I mean, anything specific that should go in the order form itself.
- Katharina HuberMostly the location of the data and the right to have it deleted. If both are in the contract, I think we are fine. I will ask them to confirm.
- Matteo RicciThen I will make sure both are visible in the draft. I can't commit to the legal wording myself, but I will take it to our side and come back to you.
- Katharina HuberGood. What about the implementation? Lukas is worried about the effort, because his team is small and it is year end.
- Matteo RicciThat worry is reasonable. The proposal sets out the phases and what we need from his side. I do not want to give a go-live date today, because engineering has not agreed one yet, and I never commit a date they have not seen. Once you sign, we agree a plan together.
- Katharina HuberThat is acceptable. I prefer no date to a wrong date. Our installers would say the same about a software rollout.
- Matteo RicciExactly. So, what would help you most between now and the end of January? Should I join a call with your finance colleagues?
- Katharina HuberPossibly, yes, but first let me present it internally after the break. I will tell you who should join. Could you send me a short summary, one page, with the price, the scope and the EU point? Something I can forward.
- Matteo RicciOf course. I will send it today or tomorrow, together with the clarified renewal wording. Anything else you would like in it?
- Katharina HuberMaybe a line on what success looks like after the first few months. Not numbers, just what my team should be able to do that they cannot do now.
- Matteo RicciYes, that is sensible. See the tickets, usage and renewal date for each installer on one page, without opening several tools. I will word it in your terms.
- Katharina HuberPerfect. Then I think we are done for today. I will come back to you early in the new year.
- Matteo RicciWonderful. So, to summarise: I send the one-page summary and the renewal wording, take the deletion and location wording to our side, and you take it internally and tell me who should join the next call. Correct?
- Katharina HuberCorrect. Thank you, Matteo. Happy new year, in case we do not speak before.
- Matteo RicciAnd to you, Katharina. Best wishes to the family, and speak soon. Ciao.
- Katharina HuberViele Grüße. Bye.
