What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Onboarding call with Astley Brook Packaging. Leanne Partington is keen. Three connectors agreed, ERP read-only view planned, but only two people use the forty Growth seats and Sajid Iqbal is the sole admin.
What happened: Laura Penhaligon agreed three first sources with Leanne and Sajid: the ERP, the helpdesk and invoicing data. Sajid will create a read-only ERP view for the newer plant first.
Customer view: Leanne described a grocery complaint that took twenty minutes to trace because order and complaint sit in separate systems. She said she was keen to close it that day.
Commercial: Only Sajid and Leanne use B-Viz against forty licences, so adoption is the main lever on the Growth subscription. Key account managers, team leaders and credit controllers are the planned next users.
Watch: Sajid is the only admin and said nobody could add a connector if he is off. Leanne promised a second admin name by the end of the week. The ERP is old and the two plants hold data differently.

Follow-up
Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Leanne to name a second admin by the end of that week.
- Sajid to build the read-only ERP view for the newer plant and send the column list to Laura.
- Laura to map the connectors and run the training with Chris Unsworth the following Monday.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Sajid is the only admin, so connector changes depend on one person.
- Only two people use the forty Growth licences, so value is not yet spread across teams.
- The old ERP holds data differently at the two plants, which could slow the connector loading.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Key account managers, team leaders and credit controllers can be brought onto the forty seats.
- Joined-up order, complaint and invoice view addresses a problem Leanne felt that morning.
Transcript
- Laura PenhaligonHello, hello. Can you hear me all right? I've got the recording going, so you'll see the little banner.
- Leanne PartingtonYes, loud and clear. Afternoon, Laura. Sajid's just joining, I can see him in the lobby.
- Sajid IqbalSorry, sorry. Afternoon both. My headset decided to update itself. Can you hear me?
- Laura PenhaligonPerfectly. Right, good, we're all here. How's the week been?
- Leanne PartingtonDon't ask. Well, you can ask. We had a grocery brand ring up this morning because a delivery of printed trays arrived with one pallet short. The customer saw the gap on the dock before we did. Which brand, which line, I asked, and it took us twenty minutes to find out because the order sits in one system and the complaint sits in another.
- Laura PenhaligonAh. That's more or less the thing we're here to fix, isn't it? Order, complaint and invoice in one place.
- Leanne PartingtonExactly. So I'm keen. Let's close it today, as far as we can. Well, not the whole project, but you know.
- Laura PenhaligonUnderstood. So the plan for this call is short. I want to agree which sources we connect first, who owns each one on your side, and what has to be true before the first nightly refresh. Then we talk about getting more people in, because at the moment it's really just the two of you using it, I think.
- Sajid IqbalYeah, that's right. Me poking around and Leanne asking the odd question. We've got forty licences and I'd say we're using them very politely.
- Laura PenhaligonHa, politely. That's fine for week one. So sources. From the order form you've got room for several connectors on Growth. My suggestion is we start with three: the ERP for orders and deliveries, the helpdesk for complaints, and the invoicing data for credit. Does that match what you'd want?
- Leanne PartingtonThat's the three I'd pick. Orders and complaints first, really. Invoices for the credit team, they're always chasing which brand is on hold.
- Sajid IqbalThe ERP is the awkward one. It's old. We've got two plants and they don't hold everything the same way. One plant keeps the delivery confirmation as a separate table.
- Laura PenhaligonOkay, that's useful. Which plant is the tidier one?
- Sajid IqbalThe newer one. Mm. I'd say start there, prove it, then bring the other across.
- Laura PenhaligonSensible. I'd rather have one plant loading cleanly than both loading badly. What do you need from me to get you a read-only extract set up? I don't want anything writing back to the ERP.
- Sajid IqbalGood, because my IT colleague would have a fit. What I can do is create a read-only account and a view that exposes only what you need. Orders, lines, delivery dates, brand, and the confirmation table. No customer contact details.
- Laura PenhaligonPerfect. That's the right instinct. Everything lands inside your own Snowflake account anyway, so you stay in control of what's there. If you send me the list of columns you're happy with, I'll map them.
- Leanne PartingtonCan I ask something? When a complaint comes in, can it tell me what the customer saw? Not just that there was a complaint, but the delivery it relates to.
- Laura PenhaligonThat depends on whether the complaint carries the order reference. Does your helpdesk form ask for it?
- Leanne PartingtonSometimes. Honestly, sometimes. The team types it in the subject line when they remember.
- Sajid IqbalI could make it a required field. It's a five minute change. I just need Leanne to say yes.
- Leanne PartingtonYes. Do it. Everyone will grumble for a day and then it'll be fine.
- Laura PenhaligonThat one change will make the joined-up view far better. Without it we'd be guessing at matches from the text, and I don't like guessing.
- Sajid IqbalDo you want the old complaints as well? There are a few years of them, and the order references in the early ones are a mess.
- Laura PenhaligonLet's load the last year or so first and see how it looks. We can always go back further once the matching is working. No point drowning in the old stuff on day one.
- Leanne PartingtonAgreed. Last year covers the brands I'm worried about.
- Laura PenhaligonRight. The refresh. Each night the sources reload and it should be finished by 07:00 on business days, so your team opens it in the morning and it's current. If it's not, tell us. That's the promise on every tier.
- Sajid IqbalFine by me. The ERP export runs overnight anyway, finishes about half past four if nothing's stuck.
- Laura PenhaligonLovely, plenty of margin. Now I did see there's one ticket from you this month. Was that resolved? I'd like to be sure it isn't something that's still bothering you.
- Sajid IqbalThat was me, a how-to about adding a colleague. Got a quick answer, all sorted.
- Laura PenhaligonGood. Then let's talk people. Who should be next in? You've got forty seats and I'd rather the right ones filled than a mad rush.
- Leanne PartingtonKey account managers first. Chris Unsworth looks after grocery and he's the one getting the phone calls. Then my own team leaders, and the credit controllers a little after.
- Laura PenhaligonOkay. I've got a training session booked with Chris for next Monday, so he'll be first through. Would you like the team leaders to join one of the sessions after that?
- Leanne PartingtonYes please. Maybe not all at once. They get restless.
- Sajid IqbalOne thing. Who's the admin? Right now it's only me. If I'm off ill, nobody can add a connector.
- Laura PenhaligonGood catch, and I'd fix that now. A second admin is sensible. Leanne, is there someone you trust with it?
- Leanne PartingtonLet me think. Probably one of my team leaders, but let me check with them first. I'll come back to you by the end of the week.
- Laura PenhaligonGreat. So, to recap, because I can feel we've covered a lot. Sajid: the read-only view on the newer plant, the columns list to me, and the required order reference on the helpdesk form. Leanne: a second admin name, and the team leaders for later sessions. Me: the connector mapping and the training with Chris on Monday.
- Sajid IqbalThat's about right. I'll try to get the view done tomorrow, but don't hold me to it.
- Laura PenhaligonNot at all. Amara will check in with you both afterwards too, she's your CSM, so shout if anything stalls.
- Leanne PartingtonBrilliant. Thanks, Laura. Hopefully tomorrow's complaint is a quieter one.
- Laura PenhaligonFingers crossed. Speak soon, both. Cheers.
- Sajid IqbalBye all.
