What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026After the demo, Thijs Brouwer asked whether an unlisted customs system can be connected. Matteo Ricci said it is untested. Sanne Verhoeven will take the proposal to management only once that is answered.
Ask: Thijs wanted a straight answer on connecting a customs system outside the standard connector list, who would need admin rights, and the size of the first load. Matteo said it may load from exports into Snowflake but is untested, and gave no date.
Customer view: Sanne welcomed the candour and set conditions. Thijs books a technical session with Anya Petrova and sends a sample export, Lotte van Dam lists three importers, and the team then decides whether to continue.
Next: Sanne asked not to be chased until the customs question is answered. The Growth proposal date of 2 Jan 2026 depends on it.

- Matteo Ricci 26 Nov 2025 09:30Dear Sanne, Thijs and Lotte, Thank you all for your time and your sharp questions at the demo. Anya is in copy and will help with the technical points. To keep things clear, here is what I took away: - Lotte would like to see late shipments for one importer grouped with the related calls and invoices. - Thijs asked how the customs data would get in, and where it would be stored. - Sanne asked what an importer-facing view would need. On storage: B-Viz is built and run inside your own Snowflake account, so your data stays with you. Thijs, if it helps, Anya can walk you through the connector side in a separate session. Please tell me what is still unclear and I will answer in writing. Best regards, Matteo
- Thijs Brouwer 26 Nov 2025 10:11Hello Matteo, Thanks. Snowflake is good to hear. My questions are practical: - Our customs declarations come from a system that is not on your usual list. Can it still be connected? I do not want a yes if the answer is maybe. - Who in my team would need admin rights, and how much work is the first load? I would like the answer before we go further. Regards, Thijs
- Matteo Ricci 28 Nov 2025 09:20Dear all, Thijs, thank you for the direct questions. I have spoken with Anya and our engineers, and I would rather you heard it from me plainly. On the customs system: it is not one of our standard connectors. We believe it can be loaded from exports into Snowflake, but we have not tested it with your data, so I cannot give you a firm answer yet. I will not commit to a date for this until engineering has agreed it. Anya proposes a short technical session with you to look at a sample export, and then we can confirm in writing what is possible. On admins: one or two people from your side would be enough to start. Anya will detail it in the session. Sanne, I know the timeline matters. Our working assumption for the Growth proposal, with a total value of £59,500 including implementation, is still a decision around 2 Jan 2026, but only if the technical question is settled first. Best regards, Matteo
- Sanne Verhoeven 1 Dec 2025 09:46Hi Matteo, Thank you for being honest about the customs system. I prefer that to a nice promise. Let's be concrete. Thijs will book the technical session with Anya this week and send her a sample export. Lotte will write down the three importers she wants to see in the first version. After the session we decide if we continue. The proposal and the number I will take to the management team only when the customs question is answered. Please do not chase me before that. Groet, Sanne
