What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Nigel Fairbrother, Finance Director, agrees to a call but wants per-person usage with the base, and a per-contract value case. He will not decide on the call and will take terms and usage to the board.
Ask: Lewis Kerr sought a renewal conversation for the Growth subscription, quoting £40k for 40 licensed users, term ending 4 Jun 2026. Nigel asked for usage by person, how many of the 40 licences are in daily use, and what the account earns per contract.
Customer view: Nigel is sceptical of Sharon's view that use is rising and wants it on paper. He wants no sales pitch, only what account managers and credit control have got out of it.
Next: Lewis sends written terms after the call, with usage to follow for the board. The evidence does not show whether the call happened.

- Lewis Kerr 24 Apr 2026 11:38Dear Nigel, Sharon mentioned that you would like to talk through the renewal of your Growth subscription before anything is agreed, which is sensible. Your current term runs to 4 Jun 2026, so I'd like to get a conversation in the diary soon, to leave you proper time to decide. To put a number on it, the contracted annual figure today is £39,600, exclusive of VAT, for 40 licensed users. I won't quote any change from memory. Once we have spoken, I'll send you the renewal terms in writing, co-termed to your current contract, with the VAT position stated. I understand you will want to see usage before you decide, and that is fair. Daniel Okafor, who looks after the account day to day, can bring the usage picture for your teams so you can judge it yourself. Could we find half an hour next week? Tell me what suits you and I'll send an invitation. If it helps, I'm happy to come to you in Bristol. Kind regards, Lewis Lewis Kerr Account Executive, BG-Demo
- Nigel Fairbrother 24 Apr 2026 13:37Lewis, Thanks. Next week is fine. Thursday morning, call rather than a visit. Before then, send me the usage by person, not the averages. Who is actually using it, and how many of the 40 licences are in daily use? I'll want a percentage only with the base alongside it. Sharon says it's going the right way. I'd like to see that on paper. Also, what's that per contract? We price guarding by the hour, so I need to know whether this is earning its keep against the sites it covers. I don't need a sales pitch on that, just what the account managers and credit control have got out of it. I won't decide on the call. Send the terms afterwards and I'll take it to the board with the usage. Nigel Fairbrother
