What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Nigel Fairbrother asked in writing what happens to the price when the term ends on 4 Jun 2026. Daniel Okafor replied that the discount ends, the price rises to Growth list, and the general price change does not apply. No further customer reply.
Ask: Nigel wanted to know what Marlcliff pays afterwards and whether a general price rise lands at the same time. Sharon Tilley was copied.
BG-Demo answer: the rise comes from the first-term discount ending, not from a new rate card. The new term starts before the general price change takes effect, so the customer stays on the price book it signed under.
Next: Lewis Kerr is to send the formal quote line by line. The thread holds no customer reply, so Nigel's view of the answer is not shown.

- Nigel Fairbrother 6 Mar 2026 14:43Daniel, Before the renewal gets any closer, can you tell me in writing what happens to the price when the current term ends on 4 Jun 2026? I understand the first-term discount stops. I want to know what we pay afterwards and whether anything else changes at the same time, such as a general price rise. Sharon is copied as she will want to know too. Nigel Fairbrother
- Daniel Okafor 6 Mar 2026 14:57Dear Nigel, dear Sharon, Thank you for asking so clearly. Here is where we stand, and Lewis is copied so he can correct me if I have missed anything. The discount you received on the first term ends at renewal, which is standard for all our customers. From the day after the current term ends on 4 Jun 2026, the subscription goes to the Growth list price. Today you pay £39,600 a year for 40 licensed users, so you will see a rise, and it comes from the discount ending, not from a new rate card. The point I'd like to be clear about is that our general price change for the year does not apply to you at this renewal. Your new term starts before the date it takes effect, so you stay on the price book you signed under. Nothing else changes: same tier, same users, same service levels. Lewis will send the formal renewal quote, co-termed to your current term, and it will show the working line by line. Nigel, I know you like to see the base before the percentage, and the quote will give you both. Sharon, thank you again for championing this inside Marlcliff. It is good to see the account managers and the control room using it more every week. I'll come back to you both shortly with a usage summary, and if you have questions before then, please just reply here. Best wishes, Daniel Daniel Okafor Customer Success Manager, BG-Demo
