What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026After the 6 Mar 2026 QBR, Fiona Metcalfe asked for the credit team's value in pounds and said she will want a usage case before renewal. Daniel Okafor proposed a joint one-page review.
Ask: Fiona asked for exposure on credit accounts now against before, and whether B-Viz changed any decision. She will look at it at renewal.
Customer view: positive on branch use, but the Group Finance Director wants a value case. Daniel was candid that a pounds figure on a changed decision depends on what the team did next.
Next: Daniel will agree accounts with Ashok and send a plan and timings by the end of the following week. Lewis Kerr is copied ahead of renewal on 27 Feb 2027.

- Daniel Okafor 6 Mar 2026 13:09Dear all, Thank you for your time this morning. It was good to have Neil, Fiona and Ashok on the same call, and I know diaries make that harder than it should be. Just to close the loop on what we covered, so everyone is working from the same notes. Where things stand: - Usage has grown well since the previous quarter. More people across branches, key accounts and trade credit are asking B-Viz questions, and it is no longer mostly Ashok's team. - Neil's branch managers are using the single view of a trade account (orders, deliveries, calls and credit together) when a builder rings in. Neil mentioned a couple of examples where it saved a phone round of three departments. - Ashok has been steadily connecting the remaining sources, testing each one on a single branch first. He is happy with how the loads are behaving. - We had one high priority ticket recently and it was dealt with. I am happy to walk anyone through what happened if useful. What I will do: - Pull together a short usage summary by team, so you can see who is getting value and where there is headroom within the 160 licensed users. - Look at which teams are not yet using it and suggest a plan with Neil. Fiona, I know you like a clear picture before any renewal conversation, and the contract runs until 27 Feb 2027, so there is plenty of time. I would like us to build that picture together over the coming months rather than leave it to the last minute. If there is a particular question you would want the summary to answer, tell me and I will make sure it does. I'll come back to you all with the summary shortly. How is the team finding it day to day? Do say if anything feels clunky. Best wishes, Daniel
- Fiona Metcalfe 9 Mar 2026 11:44Daniel, Thank you for the notes. Helpful, and good to hear the branches are making use of it. One question. When you pull the usage summary together, can it show what the credit team is getting from it, in pounds where possible? Not the usage alone. What's our exposure on those accounts now compared with before, and did B-Viz change any decision? We'll look at it at renewal, but I will want a usage case in front of me before then. Fiona Metcalfe
- Daniel Okafor 10 Mar 2026 14:05Dear Fiona, Thank you, that is a fair and very clear ask, and I am glad you raised it early. I should be straightforward about one thing: B-Viz can show you how the credit team is using the combined view, and which accounts they are looking at most. Putting a pounds figure on a decision it changed is different, because that depends on what your team actually did next. So I would like to do this jointly. Neil and Ashok are copied because I think they are best placed to point us at a few real accounts where credit and sales looked at the same picture, and Ashok can confirm the data behind each against the ledger. My suggestion: - Ashok and I agree a short list of accounts to look at. - Neil gets the credit and key-account view of what happened on those. - I put it into one page, with exposure in pounds wherever your finance team can supply the figure. I will not guess at a date for the full page until I have spoken to Ashok, but I'll come back to you by the end of next week with a plan and timings. Lewis is copied so he is in the picture ahead of the renewal conversation, and nothing needs to be decided by anyone before then. Thank you all again. Best wishes, Daniel
