What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Callie Brennan set out agreed steps after kickoff. Tariq Mahmood can provide read-only accounts for policy and claims, but the helpline system needs another team's answer. He also asked which member number is the main key.
Ask: Tariq wants one member record across policy and claims, which use different member numbers in places. He will describe how they relate without sending real member details.
Customer view: Tariq is cooperative and careful, and passed the security questions to Gareth Lumb. Callie said the key is a joint mapping decision and that she can connect policy and claims first if the helpline is slow.
Next: Callie aims for the first refresh the week after she receives access in writing.

- Callie Brennan 25 Jan 2024 11:19Hi all, Thanks for your time at the kickoff. Here is where we got to, with dates against each step. Agreed: - First sources to connect: the policy system, the claims system and the helpline system, in that order - Tariq is the admin and my day-to-day contact - Gareth will review how access is granted before anything is switched on - Rebecca will bring a short list of the questions member services want to ask first What I need from your side is: - Tariq: written confirmation of the service accounts you want us to use for each system, with read-only access to start with - Gareth: any security requirements or questions in writing, so I can answer them properly rather than from memory - Rebecca: the list of questions, even if it is rough Tariq, please don't send credentials or any member data by email. I'll send you a secure route for those separately. I won't start any connector until I have access in writing, and I won't say a mapping is right until I've checked it. If you can get me the above by the end of next week, I think we can aim for the first refresh the week after. I'll confirm once I see what comes back. Marcus is copied. He'll be your customer success contact once we're live. Thanks, Callie
- Tariq Mahmood 26 Jan 2024 16:25Hi Callie, Thanks for the summary. That matches my notes. On access: I can have read-only service accounts for the policy and claims systems set up by Monday. The helpline system is a bit different. It is run by a separate team, so I need to ask them what they'll allow. I'll check and come back to you rather than guess. One question on mapping. Our policy and claims systems use different member numbers in places, so I'd like to be sure we end up with one member record across both. Which member number does B-Viz treat as the main one? I can describe how our two systems relate, but I won't send examples with real member details. Gareth, can you send Callie your security questions directly? I've left them with you. Thanks, Tariq
- Callie Brennan 26 Jan 2024 17:13Hi all, Thanks Tariq, that's helpful. On the member number: B-Viz lets us choose the key that joins records, so that's a mapping decision we make together, not a default. Please send me a short description of how the policy and claims numbers relate. No real member details, just the structure. I'll draft the mapping and show it to you and Rebecca before anything is loaded. That keeps Rebecca informed of any change, as she asked. On the helpline system: no rush. Let me know what the other team says. If access takes longer, we can connect policy and claims first and add the helpline afterwards. The first refresh will still be useful to Rebecca's team, and I'd rather it was right than complete. Gareth, whenever you're ready, send your questions over and I'll reply in writing so there's a record. So the next steps are: - Tariq: read-only accounts for policy and claims, and the answer from the helpline team - Tariq: the note on how the member numbers relate - Gareth: security questions - Callie: draft mapping, then a setup note once we're through Thanks, Callie
