What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026After the demo, Tariq Mahmood asked about first connectors, overnight load failures and Snowflake access control. Rebecca wants the written price split for leadership and a further view for a school with open claims.
Ask: Tariq wants answers from Tobias Renwick on connector order, failure alerts and access control. Rebecca wants the written split of the £124k total, which Tom said includes implementation.
Customer view: Tariq will not accept guesses and wants no member examples by email. Rebecca will agree nothing without leadership and still asks what the member sees.

- Tom Ashdown 17 Nov 2023 13:59Hi all, Thanks for your time on the demo. It was useful to see the questions Kirsty and Rebecca wanted answered, and Tariq's points on how the policy, claims and helpline systems line up were exactly the sort of thing we need to get right. A quick recap of what I took away: - You want relationship managers to see a member's policies, claims and calls together before a renewal meeting. - Tariq needs to be sure the overnight loads finish and that one member record holds across the systems. - Nothing leaves your own Snowflake account, which is how we build it. I've copied Tobias, who leads our engineering. Tariq, if you jot down the questions your side would want answered on how the connectors are set up and where the data is held, Tobias will go through them properly with you. I know you'll want to talk this over internally. If it helps, I'm working towards having paperwork ready for around 3 Jan 2024, but only if it makes sense for you. No pressure on timing. Cheers, Tom
- Tariq Mahmood 20 Nov 2023 12:55Hi Tom, Thanks for the recap, it matches my notes. Here are my questions, kept to the technical side. First, which of our systems would you connect first? I'd suggest policy and claims, with the helpline after that, but that's a mapping question and I'd want to agree it with Rebecca before anything is decided. Second, when a load fails overnight, what do we see in the morning and who tells us? I'll check last night's load most days anyway, but I'd like to know what the failure looks like from your side. Third, how is access controlled within our own Snowflake account? Our security team will ask. I haven't guessed at any of this, so I'd rather get the right answer from Tobias than a rough one now. Also, please don't send any member examples by email; I'll look at those inside our environment. Thanks, Tariq
- Tom Ashdown 23 Nov 2023 16:19Hi all, Thanks, Tariq, those are fair questions and I'd sooner Tobias answered them than me. Tobias, over to you on the load failures and access control, please. I'll stay out of the technical detail. Rebecca, on the commercial side, the working figure we've discussed for the Growth tier on a two-year term comes to £123,600 as the total deal value. That total includes the one-off implementation, so please don't read it as a yearly price. I'll confirm the exact split in writing before anything goes to your leadership, rather than rely on my memory of it. If it suits, a short call with Tariq and Tobias early next week would clear the security questions, and then Rebecca has what she needs to take it forward. Cheers, Tom
- Rebecca Ainsworth 24 Nov 2023 15:03Hi Tom, Thanks for being straight about the total and the implementation. Please do send the split in writing, as I'll need it in front of our leadership and I won't agree anything without them. I'm happy for Tariq to speak to Tobias first. If the security answers are clear, that makes my conversation inside Kelbrook much easier. Kirsty and I would also like to see a bit more of how it looks for a relationship manager with a school that has claims open. What does the member see at the end of it? That's still the question I keep coming back to. Kind regards, Rebecca
