What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Tom proposed a demo built on a school renewal meeting. Rebecca agreed, will bring two relationship managers and claims, wants a morning slot, and keeps asking what the member sees. Malcolm may join but will not decide.
Ask: Tom asked for attendees, example questions and a slot. Rebecca supplied attendees, a morning preference from 10:00 and her typical pre-renewal questions.
Customer view: She wants practical answers, not features, and the point is not opening three systems. Malcolm will not make decisions off the demo.
Next: Rebecca to confirm a firm slot.

- Tom Ashdown 13 Nov 2023 08:57Hi Rebecca, How's your week looking? I hope the helpline has calmed down a bit since we last spoke. Let's get the demo in the diary. The idea is to show you what B-Viz looks like when it sits over the kind of information member services use every day: a member's policies, their claims history and the calls you've had with them, all in one place, so a relationship manager can ask a question in plain English and see the answer. I'd like to build it around a renewal meeting for a school or a church, as that's the scenario you described, and keep it practical rather than a slide show. A few things that would help me get it right: - who you'd like in the room (relationship managers, claims, underwriting) - one or two example questions your team would really ask before a member renewal - how long you can spare, as I'd suggest about an hour If you can give me a couple of slots over the next fortnight, I'll work around you. Malcolm is welcome too if he'd like to see what the money would be buying, though I'll leave that to you both. Best, Tom
- Rebecca Ainsworth 16 Nov 2023 13:26Hi Tom, Thanks for this, and sorry it's taken a few days. Month end has been a squeeze on us. The approach sounds right. What does the member see? That's the question I'll keep asking, so building it around a school's renewal meeting is just what I'd want. I'd rather we see how it handles a real kind of question than hear about features. For the room, I'll bring two of our relationship managers and someone from claims. I'll ask underwriting too, though they're stretched, so please don't wait on them. An hour is fine. Could we do the morning, say from 10:00, early next week or the week after? I'll confirm with the others and come back to you with a firm slot. For the example questions, the sort of thing we ask before a renewal is: what has this member claimed on, when did we last speak to them, and is there anything open that they'd expect us to know about? If B-Viz can answer that without someone opening three systems, that's the whole point for us. I've mentioned the demo to Malcolm. He may join for part of it, but he's said he won't make any decisions off the back of it, which I think is sensible. Kind regards, Rebecca
