What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Final internal board pack from the CFO, issued 20 Apr 2026. It states contracted annual recurring revenue of £3.2m, 73 customers and headcount of 42 at 31 Mar 2026, and lists what it does not cover.
What it is: a short board pack prepared by Bridget Kearsley, Chief Financial Officer, for the Board of BG-Demo. It says its purpose is to give "the headline position of BG-Demo at the close of the quarter".
Claims: contracted annual recurring revenue of £3.2m from executed order forms checked against invoicing, 73 customers with a live term, and headcount of 42 from HR records. A credit note is treated as a one-off, not a change in the recurring base.
Not settled: the pack gives no movement against the prior quarter, no cash or overdue position, no pipeline, no usage trends and no service performance against order form service levels. No individual customer is named, and the risks table lists standing watch points rather than findings.
Currency: the figures are a snapshot at 31 Mar 2026 and should not be read as the current position. The pack asks the board to note the numbers, confirm the definitions and say which missing items it wants first. It proposes no discount, waiver or fee change.
Body
BG-Demo - Board Pack - quarter to 31 Mar 2026
Status: Final Prepared by: Bridget Kearsley, Chief Financial Officer Date issued: 20 Apr 2026 Period covered: the quarter ending 31 Mar 2026 Folder: Company/Board
Purpose of this pack
This pack gives the board the headline position of BG-Demo at the close of the quarter. It is deliberately short. It states the three numbers we can cite directly from our finance and HR records, comments on what they tell us, and is clear about what they do not tell us. For the avoidance of doubt, anything not stated here is not claimed here.

How the numbers are defined
Read the whole document (4,543 characters)
- Annual recurring revenue is the contracted annual subscription value under executed order forms. It excludes one-off implementation fees. Our records show it is the figure the finance system can cite; the CRM amount is treated as a claim to be checked, not as the answer.
- Customers counts organisations with a live contract. An organisation still marked as a customer in the CRM, with no live contract and no invoices since its last term ended, is treated as churned and is not counted.
- Headcount is the number of people employed by BG-Demo according to HR. A name in the CRM, on a call or on an email does not make someone a current member of staff.
- One organisation is counted once. Where two CRM records share a domain, they are the same company and its revenue appears once.
Commentary on the quarter
Revenue
Contracted annual recurring revenue stands at £3.2m. It is built from subscriptions at the three tiers: Starter, Growth and Enterprise. A credit note is a one-off and has not been counted as a change in the recurring base. Nothing in this pack adjusts the contracted figure for pending renewals or open negotiations.
Customers
We closed the quarter with 73 customers. The number is a count of live contracts, so it moves only when a term starts or ends. Renewals falling due, the ninety-day renewal notices run by the customer success team, and any upgrades in flight are the two engines to watch: keeping the subscription at the right price, and growing it through extra users, extra connectors, new teams and win-backs.
People
Headcount is 42. We have not set out a hiring plan in this pack and the board should not read one into the figure.
What this pack does not show
In the interest of accuracy, the following are not covered, because the underlying records are not part of this issue:
- Movement in the quarter against the prior quarter or the same quarter last year.
- Cash collected, overdue invoices and the collections position.
- Pipeline, forecast and bookings.
- Usage trends across the customer base, including questions asked, connectors configured and records indexed.
- Service performance against the service levels in customer order forms.
I would be grateful if board members would raise any of these ahead of the next meeting so that they can be built into the following pack on a properly sourced basis.
Risks and watch points
| Area | Watch point | Engine affected |
|---|---|---|
| Renewals | Customers whose champion has left, or who cannot say what B-Viz is worth to them | Renewal |
| Data freshness | Customers whose indexed records have stopped growing, a sign of a broken source | Renewal |
| Upgrades | Customers running above their included users or connectors | Next engagement |
| Billing | Any invoice that does not match the executed order form | Renewal |
These are standing watch points rather than findings for this quarter. No individual customer is named here.
Decisions and asks of the board
- Note the three headline numbers above as the agreed position at 31 Mar 2026.
- Confirm that the definitions in this pack remain the basis for future packs.
- Indicate which of the items under "What this pack does not show" the board would like to see first.
No discount, waiver or change to a customer fee is proposed in this pack. Any such change would need Nell's agreement before it is put to a customer.
