What it says
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Internal draft renewal proposal dated 22 May 2024 for a Starter subscription ending 30 Jul 2024. It proposes £20k per year, the same as the current term, billed annually in advance on thirty-day payment terms. It was never marked final.
What it is: an internal draft by Nell Ashcombe, "Prepared 22 May 2024 for internal review before it goes to the customer." It covers the term from 31 Jul 2023 to 30 Jul 2024.
Commits: nothing yet, as a draft. It sets out Starter, 15 licensed users, "Annually in advance, thirty-day payment terms" and six-monthly check-ins at an annual price of £20k.
Unusual: no first-term discount applies and none is proposed. The text says usage has eased and "The evidence does not tell us why use has eased".
Not settled: the proposal admits there is no written statement of what B-Viz is worth to the customer, and no renewal call date is agreed. It is a 2024 document, so it says nothing about later terms. The evidence does not show whether a final version was issued or signed, and the executed paper would take precedence over this draft.

Body
Sprotbrough Recruitment - Renewal Proposal v1
Status: Draft. Prepared 22 May 2024 for internal review before it goes to the customer.
| Customer | Sprotbrough Recruitment, Doncaster |
| Prepared by | Nell Ashcombe, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, BG-Demo |
| Customer success manager | Daniel Okafor |
| Current tier | Starter |
| Current term | 31 Jul 2023 to 30 Jul 2024 |
1. Context
Sprotbrough Recruitment placed warehouse, driving and engineering staff across South Yorkshire. They joined BG-Demo on 31 Jul 2023 and were one of our first customers. They bought Starter for one team, and the subscription has run on that basis since.
This proposal sets out how we would renew the subscription when the current term ends on 30 Jul 2024.
2. What the record shows
Say what happened, say how we know. These points come from our own usage, ticket and invoice records.
Read the whole document (2,742 characters)
- Invoices. Nothing is overdue. The account has paid on time.
- Tickets. No tickets were raised in the last month, and none of high priority.
- Usage. Active users sit well below the licensed fifteen, and the average dipped slightly against the prior quarter. We read that as a small team using B-Viz for a narrow set of questions, not as a sign of anything wrong. The evidence does not tell us why use has eased, and we should not guess.
3. Proposed renewal
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Tier | Starter |
| Licensed users | 15 |
| Deal type | Renewal |
| Annual price | £20k |
| Contracted annual recurring revenue | £20k |
| Billing | Annually in advance, thirty-day payment terms |
| Support | Standard Starter service levels |
| Check-ins | Six-monthly, as in the current term |
The annual price is the same as the current term, because the customer signed under the original price book and renews on it. No first-term discount applies and none is proposed.
4. What we want to understand before sending
These are open points for the draft.
- Who at Sprotbrough Recruitment now asks the most questions, and would they speak to us before the renewal conversation?
- Is Starter still the right shape, or would a smaller team justify a different conversation? Daniel to confirm with the customer.
- Do we have a clear, written statement of what B-Viz is worth to them? At the moment we do not, and the proposal is weaker for it.
- Whether to name a specific date for the renewal call. Not yet agreed.
5. Next steps
- Daniel Okafor to review this draft and add anything he knows from recent check-ins.
- Nell Ashcombe to hold the account conversation once the open points above are answered.
- A final version to follow, issued to the customer ahead of the end of the current term.
Best, Nell
