Version 1 onboarding plan prepared 3 Sep 2025 by Hamza Akhtar for a Starter customer, with four phases from kick-off to handover. It states contracted ARR of £20k, 15 licensed users, a four-connector hard limit and a term ending 28 Aug 2026.

What it is: an internal BG-Demo plan, stored as final, taking Mossbrook from signature to a working deployment. It says Mossbrook is "BG-Demo's first implementation and referral partner", so the onboarding also shapes how it talks about B-Viz to its own clients.

Commits: the plan sets a nightly refresh "by 07:00 customer local time on business days" and a hard limit of four connectors. It lists 15 licensed users and a term ending 28 Aug 2026. It states no availability percentage, P1 response time or service credit.

Unusual: the plan labels £20k "Annual recurring revenue (contracted)". That is the plan's own wording and is not an executed order form. The Mossbrook project lead is still "Role holder to confirm at kick-off".

Not settled: the four sources to connect, the named Mossbrook admin and any partner terms are left open. The plan is dated 3 Sep 2025, so it says nothing about how onboarding went or whether the 28 Aug 2026 renewal happened.

Mossbrook Data Partners - Onboarding Plan

Version 1 · Final · Prepared 3 Sep 2025

Prepared by: Hamza Akhtar, Implementation Consultant, BG-Demo Account owner: Sophie Ling Customer success manager: Marcus Bell

1. Purpose

This plan sets out how BG-Demo will take Mossbrook Data Partners from signature to a working B-Viz deployment inside its own Snowflake account. The customer relationship began on Friday 29 Aug 2025. This is the agreed plan for the onboarding period, and it is the document Hamza, Marcus and Sophie will work from.

Mossbrook is a Snowflake-specialist data consultancy based in Manchester. It builds and runs data warehouses for mid-sized clients across the North West. It is joining on the Starter tier for its own client base, and it is also BG-Demo's first implementation and referral partner. That second role matters: how well this onboarding goes will shape how Mossbrook talks about B-Viz to its own clients.

Starter covers one team, with pages, chat and search, and a six-monthly check-in. The connector allowance on Starter is a hard limit of four, so the connector plan below is built to fit inside it. The user allowance is a soft limit.

3. Goals

  1. B-Viz running inside Mossbrook's Snowflake account, with the agreed sources connected and refreshing overnight.
  2. A first group of Mossbrook people asking real questions of their own data, not test questions.
  3. A named internal admin at Mossbrook who can manage users and connectors without us.
  4. A clear picture of what Mossbrook wants to show its own clients, so the referral relationship starts on solid ground.

4. Where we start

Usage today is almost nothing, which is what we expect at this point. Average active users over the last thirty days sit well below one, there are no support tickets and no overdue invoices. There is no trend to read yet. We will start reading usage properly once the first connectors are live.

6. Connector plan

Because the Starter limit is four connectors, we should pick sources that answer the questions Mossbrook's team asks most. The final list is confirmed at kick-off. Anything beyond four would mean the additional connectors add-on or a move to Growth, and we should raise that early rather than discover it late.

7. Responsibilities

BG-Demo

  • Hamza Akhtar leads the build, connection and training.
  • Marcus Bell owns adoption, check-ins and the renewal conversation after handover.
  • Sophie Ling owns commercial terms and the partner relationship.

Mossbrook Data Partners

  • A project lead to make decisions and keep the timetable.
  • A Snowflake lead to provide and confirm access.
  • An admin who will own users and connectors once we step back.

8. Risks and how we handle them

  • Access delays. Snowflake permissions are the most common cause of slippage. We ask for them in the kick-off and chase in the first week.
  • Connector scope creep. Mossbrook knows a lot of systems and may want more than four. We settle the list early and are open about the allowance.
  • A single champion. If only one person asks questions, the account is fragile. We aim to bring in several users, not only the project lead.
  • Stale data. A source that stops loading would leave B-Viz answering on old data. We check records indexed after each load during onboarding.

9. Success measures

We will treat onboarding as complete when:

  1. The agreed sources load and refresh overnight without manual help.
  2. Mossbrook's admin can manage users and connectors unaided.
  3. A real group of users is asking questions week on week.
  4. Marcus has a usage baseline to compare against at the first check-in.

10. Looking ahead

The current term ends on 28 Aug 2026. Marcus will keep the renewal in view from the first check-in, and the value Mossbrook sees from its own use of B-Viz will be the foundation of that conversation. Anything Mossbrook builds with its own clients will be discussed separately with Sophie.
