What it says
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Draft first proposal from Tom Ashdown for B-Viz on Growth, two-year term. Annual subscription £56k; total deal value £124k over the term, not an annual price. Availability figure is not stated; P1 first response is one business hour.
What it is: a draft proposal dated 28 Nov 2023, marked "Draft for discussion. Not an offer capable of acceptance until an order form is signed." It proposes Growth in the customer's own Snowflake account, with an implementation of about eight weeks.
Commits: nothing binding. It states £56k as the annual subscription and £124k as the total over two years, including the one-off implementation. Payment is 30 days from invoice, and P1 first response is one business hour.
Unusual: the proposal shows no discount and gives no availability percentage. It states that on Growth, service credits apply to availability only, not freshness.
Not settled: the connector list, starting teams, any security review, the two-year structure and any discount are all open points. The evidence does not show an executed order form, so this stays an open item and any later signed paper takes precedence. The £56k is also higher than the v1 Growth list of £44k in the brief, and the document does not explain the gap.

Body
Kelbrook Mutual Insurance - Proposal v1
Draft for discussion. Not an offer capable of acceptance until an order form is signed.
| Prepared for | Kelbrook Mutual Insurance, Leeds |
| Prepared by | Tom Ashdown, Account Executive, BG-Demo |
| Customer success contact | Marcus Bell, BG-Demo |
| Date | 28 Nov 2023 |
| Version | 1 (Draft) |
| Proposed tier | Growth |
| Proposed term | Two years |
1. Context
Kelbrook Mutual Insurance is a mutual insurer owned by its members. It protects schools, churches, charities and community buildings across the UK. From our conversations so far, the people who look after those members work in several different teams, and each of them holds a different part of the picture.
- Member services speak to members every day, by phone and by email.
- Underwriting holds the policies and the reasoning behind how each one was priced.
- Claims sees what happens when something goes wrong, and how the member is feeling by then.

At the moment, putting one member's policies, claims and calls side by side means opening several systems and reconciling them by hand. That takes time, and it means a member can be asked the same question twice. We have heard that this is the problem to solve, and we have tried to keep this proposal to that.
2. What we propose
We propose B-Viz on the Growth tier, built and run inside Kelbrook Mutual Insurance's own Snowflake account. B-Viz gives one AI-queryable layer over the systems your teams already use, so that a member services adviser, an underwriter or a claims handler can ask a question in plain language and get an answer drawn from the same underlying data.
In practical terms, we expect the first connected sources to be:
- The CRM or policy contact records that member services work from.
- Recorded calls with members.
- Email and the shared mailboxes used by claims and underwriting.
- The helpdesk, where member queries are logged.
The exact list of sources, and the order in which they go live, is an open point for the scoping call (see section 7). Where an order form names a connector, it will carry a commitment on how quickly that connector goes live.
3. Scope
Included in the Growth subscription
- Pages, chat and search across the connected data.
- The dashboards builder, so that each team can build the views it needs.
- Quarterly business reviews with your customer success manager, where we look at usage, value and what to do next.
- The Growth user allowance and the Growth connector allowance, as set out in the price book.
- Nightly refresh of the data, complete before the start of the working day on business days.
- The standard Growth service level for availability and for first response to a priority one issue.
Included in the implementation
A one-off, fixed-fee implementation of about eight weeks, covering connector set-up, loading and checking the data inside your Snowflake account, configuring access for each team, and training for the first users. The fee is fixed: it does not change if the work takes us longer than planned.
Not included
The following are available as add-ons if wanted later, and are not part of this proposal:
- Additional users or connectors beyond the Growth allowances.
- Premium support with a named engineer.
- The Sandbox.
- Dedicated data residency.
- An on-site training day.
Single sign-on and SCIM belong to the Enterprise tier. If Kelbrook Mutual Insurance needs them, we should talk about Enterprise instead, and we would rather know that now than discover it in the security review.
4. Pricing
| Item | Basis | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Growth subscription | Annual, invoiced in advance | £56k |
| Growth implementation | One-off, fixed fee, invoiced once | Included in the deal amount below |
| Total deal value over the two-year term | Two annual subscriptions plus the one-off implementation | £124k |
To be clear about what the numbers mean:
- £56k is the annual subscription price.
- £124k is the total value of the deal across the whole two-year term. It includes both annual subscription payments and the one-off implementation fee. It is not an annual price.
- All prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT.
- Payment terms are 30 days from invoice. Quarterly invoicing is available on request.
No discount is shown in this version. If one is agreed, it would apply to the first term only and would be shown as a separate line.
5. Service levels
The Growth tier carries the standard Growth service level. In words rather than a table of figures:
- Availability. A published availability commitment, with service credits if we fall short.
- Priority one response. First response from our support team within one business hour.
- Data freshness. The nightly refresh is complete before the working day begins on business days. On Growth, service credits apply to availability only, not to freshness.
If Kelbrook Mutual Insurance needs a different service level, the signed order form is where it would be written down, and it would take precedence over this proposal.
6. How we would work together
| Phase | What happens | Who |
|---|---|---|
| Scoping | Agree sources, teams and the first questions people want to ask | Tom Ashdown, Marcus Bell, your sponsor |
| Order form | Commercial terms signed under our master agreement | Tom Ashdown, your signatory |
| Implementation | Connectors, data checks, access, training | BG-Demo delivery team, your IT contact |
| Go-live | First teams start asking questions of their own data | Marcus Bell, team leads |
| First review | Look at usage and what is working, then plan the next team | Marcus Bell |
Marcus Bell will be your customer success manager once the order form is signed. He looks after adoption, the quarterly reviews and, in good time before the end of the term, the conversation about renewal.
7. Open points
This is a first draft, and these are still to be settled:
- The final list of connected sources and which goes live first.
- Which teams start first, and which follow once the first group is settled.
- Whether a security review or any data protection paperwork is needed on your side before signing.
- Whether the two-year term suits you, or whether you would rather see a different structure.
- Any discount, and whether it is wanted at all.
8. Next steps
- A short scoping call in the next week or so, to work through the open points above. Tom will get something in the diary.
- A second version of this proposal reflecting what we agree.
- Once you are happy, an order form under our master agreement for signature.
This draft is an indication of what we would propose, and every price in it is to be confirmed in the order form.
