What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Marie Slack saw B-Viz find a leak query across portal, email and invoice status on Ashover's own data. She asked about portal export changes, admins and access control. She called the demo really useful.
What happened: Hannah demonstrated search on Ashover's own data. It found the portal query and the contractor email, and pulled the invoice status.
Customer view: Marie said the invoice status is the bit she always forgets. She was reassured that Snowflake is the customer's own account and that access is limited by role, which she called a big one.
Commercial: Priya suggested two admins to start and noted that Starter covers one team. Clifford was not on this call, and Priya asked Marie for dates for a next call with him.
Watch: Marie asked what happens if the portal changes its export. Hannah said a source that stops loading shows flat on the dashboard. Hannah also advised checking the contractor callout count against the spreadsheet.

Follow-up
Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Hannah Lowe to send the access model and connector list after the call.
- Marie Slack to check the contractor callout count against her spreadsheet.
- Marie to send Priya Raman dates for a next call that includes Clifford.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Marie is concerned a portal export change could break the connector, which matters because residents write in only there.
- Clifford, who raised the Snowflake question and wanted to avoid unused seats, was absent and still needs convincing.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Role-based access and data staying in Ashover's own Snowflake account answer Marie's residents' data concern.
- A second demo question on contractor callouts shows value for maintenance reporting, which Clifford cares about.
Transcript
- Priya RamanAfternoon, Marie. Hannah's just joining, one second. Hannah, you're on mute.
- Hannah LoweSorry, got it. Hi Marie, hello Priya. Marie, before I start, what's the one thing you most need to see today?
- Marie SlackHonestly? Whether it can find a resident's question about a leak in the car park without me typing the building name in six different ways.
- Hannah LoweGood, that's a very testable one. To be precise, I'll show you on your own data, not a demo set. The short answer is yes, but the longer answer depends on how your portal exports, so I'll show you the real export.
- Marie SlackGo on then.
- Hannah LoweRight, so this is the layer. It sits in your own Snowflake account, so the data doesn't leave your environment. It reads from the sources and builds one index. Nothing is copied into our systems.
- Marie SlackSorry, is Snowflake yours or yours?
- Hannah LoweYours. We run it inside your account, so you hold the keys. I'll put that in writing for your IT people as well.
- Priya RamanMarie, I think that was a question Clifford wanted answered too, so good that's clear.
- Hannah LoweOkay, now the search. I'll type the leak question as a resident would write it, not as the property name.
- Marie SlackOh, that's rough. Look at it. It's found the one from the portal and the email from the contractor.
- Hannah LoweYes, and it's pulled the invoice status too, because the contractor email referenced it. That's the bit that usually goes missing.
- Marie SlackMm. That's the bit I always forget.
- Hannah LoweLet me show you the connectors, because the freshness matters. Your portal syncs overnight, and the nightly refresh finishes before the morning, so your team sees yesterday's queries first thing.
- Marie SlackAnd if the portal changes its export, does it all just break?
- Hannah LoweThat's exactly what a connector health view is for. If a source stops loading new records, you'll see it flat on the dashboard, and we'll see it too. It's a fair question, to be honest, and it happens when a customer changes a system.
- Marie SlackRight. Okay. Can I ask about the admins? Because I'm the one who'd be setting people up.
- Priya RamanYes, of course. We'd suggest two admins to start, and you'd control the users. Starter covers one team, so we'd keep that in mind as we talk.
- Hannah LoweLet me show you the access control quickly. Each user only sees the sources their role allows, so a property manager won't see another block's service charge. I'll put that in writing too, because it's what your residents' data needs.
- Marie SlackGood. That's a big one for me.
- Hannah LoweI'll send the access model and the connector list after the call. Anything I've said that's not on those, I'd rather you check with me than take on trust.
- Marie SlackFine by me. Could we try a second question? Something about maintenance costs for the last quarter.
- Hannah LoweOf course. Type it in.
- Marie SlackWhich contractor has had the most callouts this year?
- Hannah LoweThere we go. It's answering from the maintenance log and the invoices. I'd check the count against your spreadsheet before you rely on it, but it's a sensible answer.
- Marie SlackI'll check that. Thanks Hannah, that was really useful.
- Priya RamanBrilliant. Marie, shall we get Clifford on the next one? Could you send me a couple of dates?
- Marie SlackYes, I'll ask him. Speak to you soon.
- Hannah LoweThanks Marie. Bye for now.
