What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Callie Brennan trained Jenny Trethewey and Zoe Hocking on search, pages, chat and data freshness. Both were engaged, Zoe confirmed fees stay hidden for staff, and she is the first port of call for odd answers.
What happened: Callie ran an 81 minute training session covering search, pages and chat. Search found a client by trading name despite a typo, and chat returned a date with its source record.
Customer view: Jenny said the tax team were most excited about chat and expects most of them to use it daily, with the juniors living in it. Zoe checked a staff login to be sure fees stay hidden and said she felt better about it.
Commercial: Daily use by most of the tax team points to adoption across the Starter or Growth user allowance, and the juniors will ask the most questions. Nothing on price or renewal was raised.
Watch: Zoe is the single point for odd answers and for checking the source connection when data looks stale. Jenny still owes Callie a list of questions not reached.

Risks

- Staff trust depends on the fee column staying hidden and on data being refreshed by 07:00.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Most of the tax team plan to use B-Viz daily, which builds the user base for the current tier.
- The juniors will ask the most questions, which shows where further training is needed.
Transcript
- Callie BrennanHello both, lovely to see you live. Today is training, so the plan is about an hour and a bit: search first, then pages, then chat, then questions. Jenny, you'll be the one asking the questions, I expect.
- Jenny TretheweyI will, I've got a list. Hello Zoe. Are we all here?
- Zoe HockingYes, I'm here. I've got the training notes open, so you can go at whatever speed you like.
- Callie BrennanBrilliant. Let's start with search, because that's what most people will use every day. Share your screen if you like, Jenny, or I can drive.
- Jenny TretheweyYou drive. I'll only break it.
- Callie BrennanHa, fair. So you type a client name, or part of one, and the results come back with deadlines and billing status. Try a trading name for me.
- Jenny TretheweyRight. Oh, it's found it, even with the typo.
- Zoe HockingThat's the trading name column we added. It works now.
- Callie BrennanExactly. Now pages. A page is a saved view, so a team lead can set up the tax deadlines for the week and send that link round. Shall I show you one?
- Jenny TretheweyYes, please. That's what I'd want for my Monday meeting.
- Callie BrennanHere it is. You can filter it by client manager and by month. Fees stay hidden for staff, as we agreed, so this is the view they'll see.
- Zoe HockingCan I check that? Log in as one of the staff accounts, I want to be sure the fees don't show.
- Callie BrennanGood, check it. Yes, that's right, the fee column has gone. Partners will still see it on their own login.
- Zoe HockingThank you. I feel better about that.
- Jenny TretheweyCan we talk about chat now? That's the bit the tax team are most excited about.
- Callie BrennanSure. Chat answers from the refreshed data, so ask it something you already know the answer to, to start with. It helps build trust.
- Jenny TretheweyRight. What's the deadline for the year end filing for one of the farm clients?
- Callie BrennanGo on, ask it. Read the answer out and check it against the source.
- Jenny TretheweyIt's given me the date and where it came from. Oh, that's useful, it's shown the record.
- Callie BrennanThat's the point. Every answer should say where it came from, so people can check it themselves. If an answer looks wrong, tell Zoe and we'll look at the source.
- Zoe HockingSo I'm the first port of call for odd answers. Right.
- Callie BrennanYou are, and that's a good place to be. You know the data better than anyone here.
- Zoe HockingHa, I'll take that as a compliment.
- Jenny TretheweyCan we look at how we know the data is fresh? I don't want the team trusting something from last week.
- Callie BrennanGood question. Every page shows when it was last refreshed, at the top right. The refresh should be complete by seven in the morning on business days, so anything older than that is worth a question.
- Jenny TretheweySeven. Good. I'll tell them to look at the top right corner.
- Callie BrennanYes, and if it ever looks stale, it's a source problem, so Zoe checks the connection first.
- Zoe HockingRight, I can do that. I've got the status page bookmarked.
- Callie BrennanBrilliant. Let's go back to the team setup. Jenny, how many of the tax team are going to use it every day, roughly?
- Jenny TretheweyMost of them. A few of the partners will dip in. The juniors will live in it.
- Callie BrennanThen the juniors are the ones to watch. They'll ask the most questions, and that's good, because it shows you where the training gaps are.
- Callie BrennanRight, I think we've covered what you asked. Jenny, you'll send me the list of questions you didn't get to. Zoe, keep an eye on the status page. Thanks both, speak soon. Thanks, Callie.
- Jenny TretheweyThanks Callie, that's been really helpful. Bye Zoe.
- Zoe HockingBye both, thanks.
