What was said
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Lorna Cairns has read the Growth proposal twice and finds it clear. She must take it to the budget holder and would not promise the 6 Jan 2025 date. Euan's payroll export confirmation is still open.
What happened: Priya Raman and Lorna went through the proposal. Priya restated £52k as the total deal value for Growth including one-off implementation, not an annual price.
Customer view: Lorna finds the proposal clear but cannot approve spend herself. She wants the budget holder to read it first, then decide whether a joint call helps.
Commercial: payment terms are 30 days from invoice, billed annually in advance, with quarterly on request. Lorna asked for a plain one-page summary covering fees, what they get and who looks after them.
Watch: Euan has not said whether he is content on the payroll engine export. Lorna said "No promises on the date", so 6 Jan 2025 remains BG-Demo's target only.

Transcript
- Priya RamanHello Lorna, afternoon. Can you hear me?
- Lorna CairnsAfternoon, Priya. Aye, loud and clear. Sorry, I'm just finishing a thing, give me a minute. Right, that's sent.
- Priya RamanNo problem at all. How's the week been? Any pay runs giving you grief?
- Lorna CairnsBusy. Two employers sent their changes late and we had to chase. All out on time, though. They always are.
- Priya RamanGood to hear. So, just to recap where we are. You had the demo with Hannah, Euan has had the write-up on access and the payroll export, and you've got the proposal in your inbox. The aim is to get this over the line by 6 Jan 2025, and today is about whether the proposal looks right to you.
- Lorna CairnsAye, I've read it. Twice, actually. It's clear. Can you take me through the price again though? Just so I say it right when I take it upstairs.
- Priya RamanOf course. The total is £51,600. That's the deal value for Growth, and it includes the one-off implementation. So it's not a yearly figure on its own, and the proposal splits it out so nobody reads it the wrong way.
- Lorna CairnsRight, so the fifty-one six is the first-year all in, with set-up in it.
- Priya RamanIt's the total deal value with implementation in it, yes. I wouldn't call it the annual price, because the implementation is a one-off. The split is on the second page.
- Lorna CairnsOkay. I see it. And the payment terms?
- Priya RamanThirty days from invoice. The subscription is billed annually in advance, and we can do quarterly if that suits your finance side better. Just say.
- Lorna CairnsI'll ask. I can't say yes or no on budget myself, you know that. It needs to go to the person who signs it off. When's the best time to put it to them?
- Priya RamanSoon, honestly, if we want to keep momentum. If it's with them in the next week or so, there's time for any questions to come back and for us to answer them. Would it help if I joined a short call with them?
- Lorna CairnsIt might. Let me see how they take it first. I'd rather they read it, then we decide.
- Priya RamanCompletely fair. Happy to make that easy. I can send a one-page summary they can forward, without all the detail.
- Lorna CairnsAye, that would help. Keep it plain. Fees, what we get, who looks after us.
- Priya RamanDone. Now, what about the scope? The proposal covers the connectors Euan listed and the dashboards builder. Is there anything you think is missing?
- Lorna CairnsNot missing as such. Euan's still wanting to be sure about the payroll engine export. Hannah said she'd come back on it, and I think she did, but he's not said whether he's content.
- Priya RamanI'll check with Hannah today, so you have a clear answer from her. I don't want to say more than she's said, because that's her area.
- Lorna CairnsGood. Don't guess on that one. Let's get it right first time.
- Lorna CairnsWhat happens after we sign? Who do we deal with day to day?
- Priya RamanHannah leads the set-up with Euan. After that Daniel Okafor, our customer success lead, looks after you, with the quarterly reviews. I stay on the commercial side.
- Lorna CairnsAnd Ailsa, will she be involved early? She's the one who'd really use it every day.
- Priya RamanDefinitely. I'd suggest she's in the first training session, so her questions shape how it's set up.
- Lorna CairnsRight. I think that's most of it. I'll take it upstairs this week and tell you what they say.
- Priya RamanBrilliant. So I send the one-page summary today, I get Hannah's answer on the export to you, and we speak again once it's been discussed. If we can get this over the line by 6 Jan 2025, that keeps everything on a good footing.
- Lorna CairnsAye. No promises on the date, mind. But I'll push it along.
- Priya RamanUnderstood, and thank you. Anything else you want me to cover before we go?
- Lorna CairnsNo, that's me. Thanks, Priya.
- Priya RamanSpeak soon, Lorna. Bye.
