What was said
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026First training session with Lukas Brandl and Julia Obermaier. Only three or four of forty licensed users are active, the usage feed has a short history, and Julia asked for a dashboards session next.
What happened: Hamza Akhtar walked Julia and Lukas through chat, pages and search on their own data. Julia built and saved a renewal question sorted by open tickets.
Customer view: Julia said she currently opens the helpdesk, the CRM and a spreadsheet for each installer, and the page already showed what she wanted. Lukas said only three or four people are active.
Commercial: Adoption is thin against the 40 users on Growth, so the risk is low usage rather than headroom. Julia's request for dashboards is a Growth feature already included, and a second session was offered.
Watch: The usage feed started late and covers only part of the installers. Lukas will check the installer showing no usage, and CRM fields nobody updates may weaken the renewal data on pages.

Transcript
- Hamza AkhtarHello, can you both hear me alright? I'm getting a little echo on my side.
- Lukas BrandlYes, hello. I can hear you. Julia, are you muted?
- Julia ObermaierSorry, sorry. Hello, good afternoon. I was in the other room with the wrong headset. Better now?
- Hamza AkhtarMuch better. Good afternoon. How's the week been so far? It's Monday, so I'm guessing a bit of a pile in the inbox.
- Lukas BrandlA pile, yes. But a quiet one. Our installers are all out on jobs, so the tickets are slow today. Good for us, good for this training.
- Hamza AkhtarPerfect. So the plan for today, and tell me if this isn't what you wanted: I'd like to walk you through the basics of using B-Viz day to day. Pages, chat, search, and then how you'd look at one installer's tickets, usage and renewal in one go, which was the reason you bought Growth in the first place.
- Julia ObermaierYes, that is exactly what I need. At the moment for one installer in Austria I open the helpdesk, then the CRM, then a spreadsheet for the renewal. It takes me a long time.
- Lukas BrandlAnd for me it is more the admin side. Who can see what, and whether the connectors are healthy. But I also want to learn the questions part, because so far only a few of us are really using it.
- Hamza AkhtarThat's quite normal at this stage, you've only been live a couple of months. We'll aim to get a few more people comfortable by the end. Let me share my screen. Can you see the home page?
- Julia ObermaierYes, I see it. It is quite clean.
- Hamza AkhtarGood. Top of the page there's the chat box. Think of it as asking a colleague who has read everything. Let's start simple. I'll type: which installers raised tickets in the last month?
- Lukas BrandlAh, it gives a list. And it shows where the answer came from?
- Hamza AkhtarYes, the sources are underneath. Click on one and you go straight to the underlying record. That's worth doing at the start, so you learn to trust it, and also to spot when it's wrong.
- Julia ObermaierCan I ask in German? Some of my installers write to us in German and I think in German when I search.
- Hamza AkhtarTry it. Go on, type it yourself, I'll stop sharing and you share instead.
- Julia ObermaierOkay, I am sharing now. I wrote a question about one installer near Salzburg and what they asked us last time. Hm, it has answered. Quite good, actually. It found the two tickets.
- Lukas BrandlTwo tickets, yes, that matches what I see in the queue. Nothing urgent there.
- Hamza AkhtarRight. Now ask a follow-up in the same chat, don't start a new one. Something like: and how often did their team use our software this quarter?
- Julia ObermaierOkay. Ah, it needs the usage data. It says it can see it, but only from the connector we set up. So not everything.
- Lukas BrandlThat is the product usage feed. It only covers part of the installers for now. I can check which ones with the connector page.
- Hamza AkhtarGood point, Lukas, and that's a nice moment to show the admin view. If you open the connectors page, you'll see each source and when it last loaded.
- Lukas BrandlOkay, I looked through it while you two were talking about the Austrian installer. The helpdesk and the CRM are loading every night. The usage feed is there, but I think it started late. So the history is short.
- Hamza AkhtarThat would explain it. A short history means trends are thin for now. It'll fill in. Just don't be surprised if a chart looks sparse in the first weeks.
- Julia ObermaierUnderstood. Can we go to the pages? My manager asked me for something she can read without logging in to everything.
- Hamza AkhtarYes. A page is a saved view of an account, written up by B-Viz from your data. Let me show you one. Pick an installer, any installer.
- Julia ObermaierThe one near Salzburg again. I know them.
- Julia ObermaierOkay, so the page has the tickets, a small summary of the contract, and the renewal. That is already what I wanted. Is the renewal date correct? I cannot tell.
- Hamza AkhtarGood question to ask out loud. The page pulls it from the CRM, so if the CRM is wrong the page is wrong. For your own contract with us, the order form is the source of truth. For your installers, treat the CRM as a claim until you've checked it against their agreement.
- Lukas BrandlYes. We have had a few CRM fields that nobody updates. Maybe that is something I should clean up before we trust the pages too much.
- Hamza AkhtarThat's a sensible first job. Not glamorous, but it pays back quickly.
- Julia ObermaierCan I search for things instead of asking questions? Sometimes I only want a word. Like a specific error one installer mentioned.
- Hamza AkhtarYes, the search bar at the top does that. It's keyword and meaning together. Try the error text, and then filter to tickets only.
- Julia ObermaierI tried three different ones. The first gave too much, the second was exactly right, the third gave nothing. Is that me or is it the data?
- Hamza AkhtarProbably the data in that last case, if the text was in a call or an email that isn't connected. Lukas, that's one for your list: which sources are not in yet.
- Lukas BrandlYes, I have a list already. We said email would come later. I will ask whether it makes sense to move that up.
- Hamza AkhtarDo ask. We've got eight connectors on Growth, so there's room. Now the users bit. You've got forty licensed users, Lukas, and you told me only a few are active.
- Lukas BrandlThree or four, honestly. Julia, me, and a couple of people from the support team. The rest have an account but have not logged in.
- Hamza AkhtarNo judgement. It's early. What would help the others start? Often it's one question that matters to them.
- Julia ObermaierFor my colleagues in customer success, I think the renewal question. Which installers renew soon and which of them have raised problems. If I show them that, they will want it.
- Hamza AkhtarBrilliant, let's build that now, so you've got something real to show them. Julia, type the question, and then we'll save it.
- Julia ObermaierOkay, it is saved. I asked for installers renewing soon, sorted by open tickets. It looks sensible. A little odd that one installer shows no usage at all.
- Hamza AkhtarThat's worth a look, rather than a conclusion. No usage can mean a real problem, or just a gap in the feed. Flag it to Lukas and check before you call them.
- Lukas BrandlI will check it tomorrow. Probably the feed, but better to be sure.
- Hamza AkhtarLet's use the last bit for questions. Anything that confused you today?
- Lukas BrandlMostly permissions. If I give a colleague access, can I limit what they see? Some tickets have personal details from the installer.
- Hamza AkhtarYes, you can scope what each person sees. Let me not guess at the exact settings on a call. I'll send you a short note with the steps and you can try it with one test user first.
- Lukas BrandlThat works. Thank you.
- Julia ObermaierFrom my side, I think I understand chat and pages now. Next time I would like to see the dashboards, because my manager likes charts.
- Hamza AkhtarDashboards are part of Growth, so yes, we can book a second session on that. I'll suggest a time by email. Meanwhile, use the saved question a couple of times this week, and share it with one colleague.
- Julia ObermaierI will do that. Thank you, Hamza.
- Hamza AkhtarSo to recap. I send the permissions note and a time for the dashboards session. Lukas checks the usage feed and the installer with no usage. Julia shares the renewal question with a colleague. Anything I missed?
- Lukas BrandlNo, that is all. Thank you, speak soon.
- Julia ObermaierThank you, goodbye.
- Hamza AkhtarCheers both, bye.
